Monday's Weekend Recap...

As usual these days, there sure isn't a whole bunch of activity to recap.

I was released from home care and home physical therapy on Friday.  My knee still isn't bending like I  would like it to be at this point but there are about three more weeks of PT ahead at a facility and I know it will all work out.

On Friday, I GOT MY HAIR CUT!!  I posted a photo last week but here is another shot of Teena cutting my hair!  It needed it!  Curly hair doesn't get longer... it just gets bigger!! LOL

On Saturday, I did the laundry and we ordered curbside dinner from Longhorn Steakhouse.  It was SO good!!  They do a great job with carry-out.

Sunday found us "attending" our Facebook church service.  They are deciding this week about when to open the church again for worship.  We are ready.

I made pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn, and a salad for our dinner.  Doing okay getting the cooking done as long as I don't have to stand for too long.

It is not part of the weekend recap, but today is my sister, Patti's, birthday!!  Happy birthday, Patti!!  She reads my blog via email.  They had a big party outside on their beautiful deck for her over the weekend, with a cookout and family and friends!  Sounds like it was a fun time! Wish I could have been there!

There is nothing on the calendar for tomorrow, but my stitches come out on Wednesday!  It will be nice being able to shower without the incision covered by plastic!  One step closer to 'normal'!!

I think we all have high hopes for June to be better than May.  Here in Florida, it is the start of hurricane season, so there is that.  Onward!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!
Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. I really need a haircut and our hair places just got the okay to open. Most require the wearing of mask and chairs be spaced 6 feet apart. Our church opened too with just 100 people allowed in each service and all had to wear mask. I am in California and so there are strict guidelines. I hope your leg gets better soon!

  6. Stitches out means a big celebration Terri. You and your sister look just lovely. What would we do without them? So thankful for my two.

  7. Happy Birthday, Patti! I can't decide if my mouth's not watering at the sound of Longhorn or your pork chops. We've not done any curbside 'dining' just yet. Silly, perhaps, but I miss going in somewhere and being waited on.

  8. So happy you were able to get your haircut! I need one too, but just haven't gotten around to making an appt. yet. I was waiting for the rush to be over. Happy Birthday to your sister Patti! You two do look a lot alike too! I'm glad she was able to have a nice outside party! We are still waiting for our church to reopen, later this month, but it will be so different. At least we are now able to go out and eat with some of our church friends and have some much needed fellowship. That helps, but we still miss our time of worship together. Praying it will all come together. Praying for our country right now. What a mess! May God find a way to intervene before it gets too much worse. Have a blessed day and week, and enjoy getting those stitches out!!!

  9. I haven't been to the beauty shop yet, hopefully this week. I'm looking like a shaggy dog. lol Keep working that knee, it will come along in time. You can do it. Churches are opening here, it's been a slow process. Have a great day.

  10. I have my first beauty shop appointment Wednesday and I can't wait. It will feel good to get pampered and trimmed. I am somewhat dreading hurricane season especially with one about to be looming out in the Gulf, but it is the price we pay I suppose for living in the best place all the time.
Mother has been in the hospital with a severe infection so I have a lot of blog reading to catch up on. She is on the mend and home so all it good. I actually ended up downloading the other two books in the series I mentioned by Janie Devos. I did like them but so no point in a sex scene in an otherwise pretty tame book. I have readers who would needed to be advised before I recommended it. I hope the knee bends soon. It is a hard process on occasion.

  12. Great news about the physical therapy, congratulations! And your hair! I lol'd at the 'curly hair getting bigger'!! My hair is straight (wavy) and grows very slowly so even after 2.5 months you can't really tell a difference! I'm finding I'm very low maintenance. :)

  13. You are doing great with your PT and I think in 3 weeks that leg will be bending much better.
I wish I had a little curl. My hair is just straight and thin, so getting longer is not a good thing. I'm happy for you to get yours cut though. :)
    Happy Birthday to Patty!

  14. I hope your knee will feel even better after those stitches come out tomorrow. I have my hair appointment on Thursday. And on Thursday evening some of us will have a meeting at church to decide how we will begin having services again. Two things in one week. What?????
