You may have seen this one of Facebook. I am trying to learn what crop this is. There are
three fields growing between Lakeland and Tampa. We saw them on the way to
my surgeon's office. So far the consensus is hemp but that is a guess.
What do you think?
We were at the farm (Joe's client) Wednesday afternoon.
Pistol and Doc got apples and carrotts.
... and Pistol got a little testy with Doc. Pistol can be rather aggressive.
Majesty is so beautiful. He got treats too...
... as did Vanna.
Doc and Pistol were not pleased when I went to see Majesty and Vanna,
God's beauty. It was so hot, but so green and blue!
Another gorgeous view!
And a lone bull (a very big boy) was in what used to be a goat pasture.
I didn't ask but assume they are keeping him from the girls right now.
The bull's pasture that goes down to the pond.
It was late when we left the farm and had been a long day. We stopped at
Sonny's BBQ for an early (4:45) dinner before heading on home.
Yesterday was also a busy day. I called Helen to see if they wanted to meet us at
Cheddar's for dinner. We hadn't seen Helen all week.
It is a good picture of Helen but I caught Cheryl with her eyes closed.
We enjoyed our meals and the company. I'm so glad restaurants are open again!
Happy Friday!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

I love your horse pictures. Pistol is really a "pistol", isn't he? LOL. I like Vanna. She looks kind of shy, but so pretty. That is a beautiful farm. Is that a Black Angus bull? That is the kind my daddy used to raise on our farm in PA. Did you see me "bull" on FB this week with the "popsickle quiz of the day?" It is a replica of a Black Angus bull that I gave my daddy years ago to remind him of the farm. You are blessed to be able to go there each week. So happy you could meet Helen and Cheryl and have supper together. What a blessing to be able to get out again! They are blessed to have YOU and Joe for friends too! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteTom raises Brangus (brama/angus) cattle.
DeleteI always enjoy the pictures you take at the farm. Glad you enjoyed lunch with Helen and Cheryl and that things are opening up again. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteThe bull looks really mad. lol Always love your farm pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I am, like you, wondering about the identification of that crop.
ReplyDeleteWish I could identify that crop for you, Terri. Your photos are lovely and fun as always, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
That Pistol is a pistol! Always love the farm pics. Thanks for sharing them! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteI always love the farm pictures and yes, that is a mystery crop for sure. Let us know if you figure it out.
ReplyDeleteHA! I love that 3rd photo where Pistol's back-talking Doc. That is a great photo of Helen! Could you perhaps check with your County Extension Agent to see if he/she might identify that crop? My mother used to consult them regularly. :)
ReplyDeleteI will check into to county. Thanks for the idea!
DeleteI am glad the bull is in a pasture by himself. lol I have learned to leave Bulls alone. Bruce has one bull and we stay well away from him.:)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a whole lot of fun.... good for you.... :)
ReplyDeleteWHINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I love Sonny's!!! No Sonny's up here, sigh. grin
ReplyDeleteIt is always SO good!
DeleteGreat pics! Love to see photos of horses and the countryside. Everything looks so nice and green. ~:)
ReplyDeleteThose horses are all so beautiful! And I love that blue sky!
ReplyDeleteThose horses are gorgeous - Majesty is my fav!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is gorgeous, but has a bad back and can never be ridden. :(
DeleteI thoroughly enjoy your trips to the farm! Those horses have such personalities!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the crop is probably hemp.
Beautiful horses and skies. Loved seeing that. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
