** I am so thankful for Zoom. Our community group met last night and it is always so good to see everyone's face and to catch up with what's going on. One of the Deacons in our group did say there are conversations going on about how to get back to "real" worship services. I am anxious to hear when and how!
** I am thankful that I got a facial this week. Not so much for the facial as much as it was to just get out and to have a conversation with a friend... in person!!
** Of course, I am thankful that my knee surgery is still on for next week.
** I am thankful that my BFF, Elaine, gave me a call a few days ago. We talked for at least 30 minutes/or more. I loved every minute! Thanks for calling, Elaine!
** I am thankful for prayer partners and ask for prayer today. We are taking ALL THREE cats to the vet for their shots. It has to be done before my surgery because it takes both of us to make it happen. Catching them and getting them into their carriers is the biggest problem. Yes, whisper a prayer!!
** I am thankful that I had the parents I had. So blessed. I miss them, especially when Mother's Day and Father's Day roll around. My mom was a faithful believer, and an Angel on earth, full of mercy and grace. She was loved by all who knew her and that is not an exaggeration. Blessed.

** As always, I am thankful for family and friends, and that includes each of you!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

Ha I know what it's like trying to catch cats. I hope you succeeded!
ReplyDeleteCatching one cat was enough for me, so I can't imagine three! Prayers and lots of luck, Terri, and I do hope you all will be able to gather together for church soon. We have to wait until June 22. :(
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Oh oh on the cats, yikes. You know our situation here in NY. sigh.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with the cats. As soon as all restrictions are lifted, I need to go get my sister's cat and take her for her shots.
ReplyDeleteI know you enjoyed getting your facial and seeing a friend in person. Good luck with the kitties today and will continue to pray for you and your knee surgery.
ReplyDeleteI love Thankful Thursdays....really makes you stop and count your blessings. You look so much like your mother...she was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMother's Day & Fathers Day is definitely a time to reflect & be thankful for good parents!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd be lost without Zoom & all the HSM faces I get to see each week.
LOng chats with one's BFF are so therapeutic! Debbie and I have a tradition of calling one another on the first of each month. Mother's and Father's Day are always touched with emotion, aren't they? I need to be less focused on grief and more appreciative of having had them at all.
ReplyDeleteAw, I'm so glad you got to have all that contact with friends this week. I can't wait until we can do that here. You do what you have to, but it sure seems like it's been forever since I've been out with a friend or hugged one! What a blessing your mom must have been! You were fortunate to have her. Have a good weekend, Terri!
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for Zoom, but I ready to see my people in person. We were made for connection! Good luck with the kitties tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine your mother was a lovely person, just like her daughter. I know you miss her. I hope you were able to catch the cats and get them taken care of. Next week already???Wow...I know you are anxious to get this over with. We will be praying. You will be fine. God is with you and He will take care of you and Joe both.
ReplyDeleteI hope things went well with the cats!
ReplyDeleteI like the photo of your mom. She looks very sweet and I'm sure she was because she raised a wonderful daughter!
