Whimsical Wednesday on Tuesday!!

Annie is taking Tuesday 4 Meme on vacation today so I thought I would do my Whimsical Wednesday post today instead of doing two posts tomorrow.

There is no linky and there aren't any rules.
Take a look at the gown and then decide which
pair of shoes would go best with the gown for whatever
special event you want to imagine.
Tell us about it in the comments!!
(Photos from the Storybook of Dreams & Beauty.)

Not really a prom dress but it sure reminds me of spring!
Which shoes should she wear?

Shoe #1 by Badgley Mischka

 Shoe #2 by D H Gate

Shoe #3 by D H Gate

My thoughts:  I actually love the gown but I wouldn't wear it (even my younger skinnier self).  However, I am going with shoe #1.  #2 and #3 are cute but a little too foo-foo for me. Of those two, I like #3 best but will stick with #1.  What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your visit!!  Have a blessed week!!

Peace & hugs!!  God bless!!

  1. Well, I love the gown too...Where would I wear it? To a very formal garden party I guess. I agree shoes #1 are probably the best choice, although I like #2 to actually match the dress better. But I am not a fan of open toes with such high heels. So I'd probably do #1 for comfort and safety. (still too high, however). I wonder, where DO people wear these very formal dresses? I can't imagine it, but they are truly so lovely. Back in the day when they had formal balls (pre-Civil War in the south), I can see ladies wearing such lovely dresses and dancing with their handsome young men at the Plantations. But those days are definitely "Gone With the Wind". LOL. It's still fun to imagine, however. I enjoy these posts.

  2. I would choose shoe #1, it looks too high heeled for me,
    but I don't care for open-toed heels.

  3. #2 is my pick.
    Have a great day!

  4. My first thought it how in the world does anyone put on a shoe like #3 and stand upright! hahaha! But I like the first one best and I would put the others on my dresser to look pretty! Stay healthy!

  7. I'd choose #1, too - with a dress that fancy, the shoes need to be a little toned down - but I'd kill myself trying to wear any of them and I've never had the body for a gorgeous dress like that! Thanks for commenting on my "first" post....at least in a long while. I think I'm back! <3

  8. I think #2 best matches the gown … but I'd choose #1 so I wouldn't have to bother getting a fancy expensive pedicure. (*smile*)

  9. I think #'s 2 & 3 are too ornate and would take away from the dress which already has a lot going on. Definitely shoe # one is the one for me!! Love your Whimsical Wednesday, even on Tuesday! lol

  11. This dress reminds me of the one Lucy and Ethel wore when they sang Friendship on I Love Lucy! I would pick the first shoe to wear with this dress.

  12. I like shoe #2 the most, but not with the dress! With the dress I would wear shoe #3.

  13. I have to go with #1, too, Terri. And boy, what a gorgeous gown!
    Blessings!

  14. I'll go with shoe #1 because it won't show underneath that hugely beautiful skirt of the dress. I'd wear that dress if it meant my figure would conform to it without pain.

  15. I must be strange - I don't like the dress! But with it, I would choose shoe 3 although I probably couldn't even walk in them. :)

  16. Wow...that dress is something else! And I'm with you...I wouldn't (couldn't) wear it but I'd pick shoe #1 too!

  17. Beautiful gown but now for me. I'd probably pick shoe #2 to go with it but would have to see if the flowers matched well. If not #3. Not that I could wear any of them, even in my younger days lol
