** I am thankful that we got out to the farm yesterday (Joe's client). It was good to see the owners (at a safe distance) and of course, to see all the animals.
** We stopped by Helen's house and they had an early dinner for us from Burger 21. It was good and good to see them. Helen is beside herself to get her hair done. She is 92 and still has her color done.
** Our community group from church finally had a Zoom meeting last night! It was so good to see everyone. We have all been in touch by phone or social media but it was great seeing most of them and ending the meeting with prayer. We are so blessed and thankful for our church family.
** Our house is being pressure washed today!! Just hosing it off doesn't get rid of all the dirt and pollen (especially the pollen) on the white siding. The house will look pretty again!!
** My chiropractor called yesterday to schedule a new appointment with me on April 27th. It seems the chiropractors are going back to work!! Thank goodness!!
** So, Florida is beginning to loosen things up a bit. I think the parks will reopen May 1st. My hope is that people will be sensible and use common sense as we venture back out.
** And, as always, I am thankful for family and friends, which includes each of you!
Be safe!! Thanks for your visit!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

What a great list of blessings!! And for Helen, at 92, who still gets her color done on her hair! Bless her heart...she's a strong woman! My MIL, when she was living, had her hair done every week. She no longer put color on it, but she wanted it styled just so (she had been a beautician for many years). She lived to be 95 and always looked beautiful. I know I am getting anxious to get my hair cut, and I will soon need another perm. Love that you have your church small group and could do zoom. That is really special. We are really missing our church friends too. Glad your parks are opening up. Little by little we will survive this thing!
ReplyDeleteI think people will use good common sense when things begin to open up, Terri. We are so weary of being cooped up, and don't want to have to return to this lock down ever again! And I'm with Helen - desperate to get some fresh highlights and a trim. Hairdressers have a choice to open up here in GA starting Friday, but since Danny needs us to stay in the bubble for a bit longer, it will probably be the end of May before I can see to my hair.
ReplyDeleteThankful for friends like you!
I hope Florida and everyone will be smart about reopening, but I saw something this morning (don't know if it's true) that said Florida added a bunch of new cases overnight. It seems like the more they talk about reopening the more the numbers jump here, too. Makes me wonder. Oh well, we can't do anything but keep trusting God to work it all out. Have a blessed day, Terri!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous (grin, I know, I hear it...just move back or get out)...I read somewhere there was a hike in cases, I find that awfully peculiar (reading Stacy's comment, smiles.)
ReplyDeleteKeeping you both in prayer.
Our nursing homes seem to be spiking, like from 12 to over 30 cases at one place, but with 2-14 day incubation times, who knows when people were infected? Nursing homes hold the elderly and infirm hostage in sometimes crowded conditions. Some don't have the most fastidious staff, too (unfortunately). Time will tell.
DeleteHelen is my hero. I will still be doing my hair at that age God willing. I do my own so fortunately I have been able to keep that up during the shut down. But I do need a cut desperately.
ReplyDeleteTexas is slowly beginning to open up again. If, big if, people will use common sense all should go well. I am so ready for all of this to be over.
ReplyDeleteCalifornia is slowly opening things us too. Parks and trails now open and golf courses. Elective surgery now being schedules. I agree, I hope people still take precautions. I am content to stay put for a bit longer. I do plan on walking at the park and will have a mask if I need to use it.
ReplyDeleteAw, I love that Helen's so conscientious about her appearance. (I could take a page!) I'm supposed to participate in my first Zoom gathering with Pastor Janet and some folks from the church later this afternoon. Isn't modern technology wonderful?
ReplyDeleteI've heard things are starting to open back up. I'm not sure I'm ready for an entire return to normal BUT I do think we're nearing the end. Hallelujah!
ReplyDeleteHaving your house cleaned will be nice! We sure do get dingy with the pollen and dust. I'm glad you got to go out to the farm again. I love going....any where! lol Take care and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteTell Helen I appreciate her frustration - I'm supposed to get my hair colored next week :) LOL
ReplyDeleteI just hope when folks do go out they will use common sense and be safe so we dont have a second wave of the CD-19.
ReplyDeleteA fresh and pretty home as things start to reopen is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI hear our governor is going to announce continued closure...
