Gratitude
Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". .
Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The
Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the
blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most
interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!
1. Name a highlight of your day. I am always thankful to wake up in the morning with the whole day ahead of me! Even in these times, I am grateful!
2. What made you smile today? The comics (I love Pickles), Joe, our crazy cats, an email message...
3. What made you laugh today? See above.
4. Recall a time when you needed encouragement. Too many to single out just one.
5. What is a luxury you are thankful for? I am so blessed with so much and am thankful for them all. What makes a luxury? Freshwater, a roof over our heads, an automobile, a big-screen TV, food in the pantry...
6. A favorite childhood memory. My parents, our garden, my siblings, cousins, family reunions, climbing trees, reading Nancy Drew, sleep-overs and no-bake cookies. I have so many wonderful childhood memories!
7. Favorite song–and why? Amazing Grace, because its message is amazing.
8. Where is your favorite place? Our home. Why? This is where love lives!
9. What is your favorite scent? Baking bread, spaghetti sauce cooking on the stove, cinnamon, garlic.... okay, whatever is baking or cooking at the time! LOL
10. What is your favorite topic to talk about? I prefer to listen!!
11. What do you like doing so much that you lose track of time? Social media and/or reading a good book.
12. If you had 5 minutes and the whole world was forced to listen, what would you say? It wouldn't take five minutes... please accept Jesus as your savior!!
13. Whose life do you envy the most, and why? I honestly don't envy anyone. Even people with bigger homes, more expensive cars, and lots of money have heartache and pain. I am so blessed and gave up envy a long time ago.
14. What would you differently with your education if you got a chance to start over? I wanted to be an art teacher or an architect so I would pursue one of those I guess. I have been quite happy with my lot in life and my accounting career at the art museum. No regrets!
15. What would you do with your life if you had no fear? Maybe these questions are more for younger folks. I don't fear anything so much that it changed my life. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Who said that?
---------------------------------------------------
I mentioned in yesterday's blog that I have lost 50 pounds since I retired two-plus years ago. Here are a couple of pictures to compare...
My friend, Shirley, and me at lunch before I retired.

There is a difference!!
I appreciate your visit!!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

My favorite place is home, too, Terri, and that's a good thing considering what we are going through at the moment. And I'd certainly spout the same message you would, given five minutes (or less) - it's the only one that truly matters!
ReplyDeleteBlessings on this Palm Sunday!
My answers would be 90% of yours. Because He Lives is my favorite song and my favorite scent is coffee in the mornings! Have a blessed day dear friend.
ReplyDeleteMy mom loves "Pickles" and is often quoting one of the strips to me. Amen, to your #12. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again today...you look great! Way to go on the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

DeleteI chose "In The Garden" for the song.
Have a great Sunday.
In The Garden is also a favorite of mine!
DeleteGood for yo on your weight loss Terri. I am hoping to lose 15 more pounds. It is sure hard especially being quarrantined and you want to eat all the time. Or I do anyway. Stitching keeps my hands busy!!

You look wonderful, Terri! I, too, (would have) listed my home as my favorite place to be. Amen to #12 … and, to Amazing Grace. I hope you and Joe are enjoying a sweet day.
ReplyDeleteI especially love your answers to 7, 8, and 12. I love being home too, and you're right...love lives in my home. Amazing Grace has always been a favorite, but in the past 2 years, it has become even more beloved. It was one of the songs we sang at my mother-in-law's funeral. Actually, Gary can't make it through the song anymore without breaking down.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, yes, yes, put your faith in Jesus!!!
You look fantastic. The weight loss is definitely very noticeable! Job well done!
I love Pickles and laughed at it too.
ReplyDelete#12 is perfect.
Amazing Grace is one of my favorites too.
