I went to the bank on Tuesday and it sits on Lake Morton.
I drove around the lake a couple of times just to prolong being
out of the house.
I had to stop to take a picture of the sign. All parks and trails
in Lakeland are closed right now.
On the way home, I had to take a picture of Southside Cleaners'
sign that changes weekly.
What consumes your mind, controls your life. Truth, I believe.
Our son, Joey, is deployed in the middle east (again). He sent this
to his dad a few weeks ago and we finally got it hung on the wall.
It was a surprise and Joe was surprised and thrilled to receive it.
Lots of folks are draping red on their doors for Passover
so I did the same yesterday. I will replace the red drape
with a white one for Easter - He is Risen!!
Our Assistant Pastor emailed this link out yesterday. It is a short (24 minutes),
animated film taking us from Adam & Eve to Jesus's resurrection.
I hope this link will work for you. It is only offered free through April 12th.
Watch it with your little ones or share it with them if you can.
Joe and I enjoyed it, so it's for the older folks too!

Wishing you a blessed Easter!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAwesome gift for Joe! I like your cross. Today is the first I'm hearing of folks putting red on the door. I'll have to remember that for next year. I like the observance. Have a blessed Good Friday, Terri!
ReplyDeleteAwesome gift from Joe! I have been seeing the red on doors (Not in person, but online). Yeah, signs are everywhere here about this or that being closed. I'll shall refrain from commenting on that, grin.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day friend.
That is a wonderful, heartfelt gift for Joe, Terri, and I know he treasures it. Glad you were able to get out of the house for a bit; I've been contemplating just driving around, too, for a change of scenery.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Best wishes for the weekend....
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift from Joe's son...that is truly a treasure. Praying for Joey as he is deployed again. Praying God's protection over him in every way. So sad that you can't even walk around the lakes, parks. I guess there is too much risk that people won't safe distance themselves, but we need the fresh air and sunshine so much. Love your red door covering and the cross. That's a beautiful way to combine both things at this time. I didn't have anything bright red but a small ribbon, so I put it across the top of our door. I love that so many are doing these things to show their faith at this time. We all need this encouragement. I will have to watch the movie later. Looks like it would be great. Have a blessed Good Friday and weekend...Easter is coming! Praise God!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the pictures Terri. It is nice to "get out" online.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, I plan to check it out when I get home tonight after work.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a blessed Easter!
Beautiful pics of the lake. I love your cross on the door.
ReplyDeleteYour Passover cross is so pretty! All of our parks are closed but only for the Easter weekend. They were concerned that too many would be tempted to break the social distancing rule. Enjoyed the lake pictures, there is something so peaceful about water. We love going to Sylvan Beach and just watching the waves come into shore.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth?! That Triple Nickel flag and signage gives me goosebumps. What a priceless gift! I've heard of the Red Ribbon Mission/initiative, but literally haven't a single piece of crimson fabric nor ribbon. Your front door is certainly striking!
ReplyDeleteI know you are proud of your son.
ReplyDeleteI love how you draped red over the cross.
Love this: What consumes your mind, controls your life.
And i am going to look at that video.
I love the cross with the red draping. Perfect for Passover.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool honor for Joe to have to be so proud of for his boy.
I love the flag! We have one from our son who sent one that was flown over his base when he was in Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteI like your red drape.
Now I'll check the video.
I saw this one before - I think I even posted it on my blog! It's a goodie!
ReplyDeleteThe idea of the red scarf on the door is new to me this year, but I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link to the Easter story. I watched it. It's well done. I'm going to post it on FB.
You are such an encouragement!
