** I am thankful that Joe is feeling much better on day two of his meds, and that the ortho doc finally called and scheduled an appointment for his shoulder!! It is not until mid-February, but he has an appointment!
** I am thankful that I have a new surgery date! May 12th. That gets me through the Mayfaire art festival, Mother's Day, and our 35th wedding anniversary!
** I am thankful that I got to give the horses carrots today and then spent the rest of our time at the farm (Joe's client) in the office where it was a lot warmer than it was outside! It was COLD yesterday morning!!

Majesty was too far away to get in the picture.
** I am thankful for our small group from church. We had dinner with them last night and always enjoy the food and the fellowship!
** There is so much more, including that I am thankful for each of you! Thanks for your visit!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

I love that you have a small group at church to meet with each week. Do you meet in different homes and always have dinner? I love that idea and would like to see that here, but most of our people are elderly and probably wouldn't be able to prepare the dinner in the their homes...even if potluck, which I assume yours is? Plus the other issue so many with manufactured homes and STEPS! We really need a ramp at our house because we have so many steps up into the house. I am praying for the funds to have one built so that we can invite people over who have a hard time due to using walkers/canes, etc. Not to mention that we are getting older every day and the steps can be a challenge when bringing in groceries, etc. So that is on my list of things still to do... I am happy you went to the farm and had a good time there even if it was cold! Happy Joe has an appt. for his shoulder and you have a knee surgery date. Everything is working out exactly as it should, in God's perfect timing! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteOur small group has two leaders and we meet twice a month, once at each of their homes. It is not potluck. They cook the meal for us and they won't let us help with clean up. I have offered to take a turn if they would ever like a break but that hasn't happened yet. There are 12 of us but are usually 8 to 10 each time. We have a group here in Lakeland called VISTE (volunteers in service to the elderly) and they build wheelchair ramps (here in Mas Verde there are several) for free. Perhaps there is something similar around your area? We really enjoy our group!!
DeleteI love to hear about your thank you and grateful's. I love that you get to see so many animals - I have started watching Dr. Pol - have you seen it with all the animals? He's a vet. Glad things are looking up.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of Dr. Poi but will have to look for it on TV. Thanks!
DeleteGlad to hear your husband is feeling better and that you have a surgery date! Love the picture of the horses.

ReplyDeleteSo glad you were encouraged this week Terri. It is easy to get frustrated when things are crazy in our lives isnt it? So glad Joe is feeling better.

ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Joe is doing some better and pray he continues to heal. I know you were happy to get your surgery scheduled. I always enjoy your trips to the farm and seeing the animals. xooxox
ReplyDeleteOh, thank goodness! Being able to ink in dates is a comfort in of itself. I was thinking about y'all yesterday, having to experience that c-c-c-cold weather.
ReplyDeleteYes, Terri, lots to be thankful for, indeed! Blessings, my friend, and try to stay warm. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post, Terri! There is indeed a lot there to be thankful for and I am glad to hear Jo is feeling better! Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am thankful for you too! I'm also glad that Joe continues to improve - and that you have a date!
ReplyDeleteOh that's good news that Joe is doing better and you both have the hospital appointments you need. Plus nice socialising going on. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are on the upswing for you. Glad you have your surgery date and that Joe is doing better. Your small group sounds fun - kind of like our "Empty Nesters Group" only we usually have 20-30 at our dinners. Have a good weekend and I will come by for a visit again soon!
