I am sharing some photos from this week...
We went to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday.
These are my three amigos.
Horses have very big nostrils!! LOL
Doc was sniffing for more carrots
Look hard at the rock and you will see a green dragonfly.
There was a beautiful blue one too, but I couldn't catch it being still.
5:30 p.m. and the temp was 99° F. HOT!
We stopped for Chinese food on the way home from the farm.
Did you know you can flip your JEEP cover over and it spells BEER?
We had a good laugh about it!
Next day... 4:08 pm and the temp is 100° F. Hotter!
Lakeland is proud of our airport!!
The city is working with American Airlines to start
a service from Lakeland to Charlotte, NC.
Pretty sure that's going to happen... AND
Amazon is building a distribution center at the airport
and bringing around 1,000 jobs to Lakeland, Awesome!
This is the terminal building. It is lovely inside and there
is a good restaurant there too, where you can watch
the planes taking off and landing.

I remember last summer when it was 100*F in the shade here in the UK. I was clever though and did not stay in the shade.

ReplyDeleteAll things considered, I think I'll take the rain and tornadoes and you can keep the heat! I hate super hot and humid. I love horse noses...they are so soft. Have a good day and stay in the air conditioning!

Yep, summer has indeed arrived. I didn't know that about Jeep at all. Too funny!

You have a beautiful town! The Jeep tire is so funny. It's still cool here, barely into the 70's today. I don't think I'm tough enough to live in Florida. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your horse amigos...and yes, they do have large nostrils...I guess the better to breathe as they gallop! Jeep beer so funny. Dragonflies are everywhere these days. There are so many different colors. They are such interesting creatures. I've noticed them so much more since my brother died... And yes, the temps are terrible, and it has been SO dry. We've had fires up around this area, but thankful not too close to us. That's great about the jobs and flights in and out of Lakeland. Progress can be a good thing! Enjoy staying in where it is cool while you can...
