Friday Foto Friends...

Our dear friend, Debbie, has decided she just isn't able to keep up with her Friday Foto Friends meme, so we sadly bid her adieu as our hostess. She would love for someone to take over the linky and keep it going.  Contact her HERE, at Breathing in Grace, if you are interested.  I wish her well as she works through some issues and give her my love!  In the mean-time, I will continue to post some photos on Fridays.  It has become a good habit, thanks to Deb!!

We did go to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday afternoon and will continue to go at our usual time going forward. Doctor appointments for us and for the clients moved our meeting to Fridays for a while.  I am happy to get my Friday (day off) back!!

There were no cattle going in and the only ones we saw as we were leaving, were way off in the far away pasture so I have no cattle photos today.

Our big, beautiful Florida sky!!

These horses are in a front pasture and are boarded there.
I don't know their names, but they are sure pretty!

The baby ducks aren't so little anymore.

I wish I had taken a video of "my" babies running to
get their treats! They galloped from the far pasture and
put on quite a show for me.  I'll be ready next week in case
they do it again!!  I gave them carrots and they gave me some good attention.

Karma got a few carrot pieces.
 As did Mallow.

I was sitting quietly at a table in the stable area and the
guineas paraded right in front of me!

Right past Karma's cage!

If you read my blog yesterday, we "discussed" the Maypole.
None of us thought it was still done but this article
was in our paper yesterday, showing some of the kids
at an elementary school dancing around the Maypole!
So there we have it!!  Long live the Maypole!

No alarm clock this morning and I'm going to take advantage of it! Need to get some laundry done because I work on Saturday.  That means that I DO have Mother's Day weekend off, which will also be our anniversary weekend!! Friends from Michigan are driving down for Mayfaire and we always go out to lunch or dinner with them.  Murph used to work at the Museum so he and his wife, Hattie, are part of the Museum family. It will be fun seeing them!  But all of that is a week away and news for one or two later blogs!

Thanks for your visit!  Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  2. I love your critters at the farm...and they obviously love YOU too!! That is so much fun to see...I know you look forward to it. I didn't read about your Maypole blog...I am way behind...but I do remember doing that as a child at our school. And I vaguely remember making May Day baskets of flowers...but that was a LONG time ago. I am glad to see that your school children got to have a maypole! Love to see old traditions still around. Have a blessed day today...try to relax and enjoy your time off. Your next weekend sounds like fun!!! We'll look forward to hearing about it.

    1. Just a little part time job, Julie. I've had it since the first of December, four days a week, 9-1 and every other Saturday. No stress. It's good for a while.

    Blessings!

  5. Happy Mothers' Day.

Why are most of the ducks looking in one direction? What's on TV? Daffy Duck?

    God bless.

    1. Victor, if you look again I think you will see that it is actually a meeting and the leader is telling them all something very important. That's why they are all looking at him and listening intently!

  7. That's funny about that maypole.
The only memory I have of one, there was a picture of one in a old book I used to read as a child & it always drew me in with all the ribbons....
Hope someone picks up the baton with the Foto Friday - if I didnt do my Friday favorites, I may do it because I love me some pictures!

  8. I would be so tempted to jump on the back of one of those horses! The ducklings are sure growing into adolescence, aren't they?

    1. I would love to jump on one of them too. They are all three saddle trained, but I have only done trail rides and really don't now how to really ride. They would know it in an instant! LOL

  10. A Guinea Hen parade and grateful recipients of the carrots. It sounds like your visits to commune with the animal kingdom are refreshing for everybody!

  11. Lovely blue sky. Ours is very cloudy today and yesterday was awful - quite wet at times, including hail! In May! I hope you're relaxing today after working yesterday Terri.
