Our weekend was great because our son, Joey, is back in the USA and we had him here with us for three nights! We were only sorry that Darlene couldn't come with him and we bless her for "letting" him come down to see us after he was gone for a year! I told him the next visit will be more fun. Both he and Joe had to work on clients' taxes so Saturday saw Joe in his office and Joey spread out on the dining room table. Tax day was looming. (Joe and Joey are both CPAs. Joe still has a few tax clients and Joey has a tax business too - as well as his "real" job.) It's all good though. We enjoyed our meals and some TV together! I didn't get one picture of him with his dad. Kicking myself for that miss.
Joey went to the farm with us on Friday morning. We enjoyed feeding the animals carrots and apples while big Joe worked in the office.
The ducklings are still growing!
Joey with Majesty.
With Pistol and Majesty.
My buddy, Doc.
The treats were all gone so off they went!
Prince got a few carrots we saved for him.
If you click on the photo, you can see the horses out
in the pasture. Such a pretty setting.
Some of the goats from another pasture were in one of the pens (not sure why).
We enjoyed seeing them.
Just sorry we didn't have treats left. :(
Joey with the goats.
This little guy was quite fond of me. Ha!
I took a couple of selfies...
The guinea hens were roaming.
And the cattle were way out in the fields, but look at that Florida sky!
And not to leave out our animals at home...
Lucy still likes to watch bird videos.
Our Palm Sunday service at church was beautiful. The little kids brought the palms down the center aisle and laid them on the stage in front of the congregation. They were SO cute. We will attend the Good Friday service and of course, Easter Sunday, to celebrate our Risen Lord!!
The week ahead isn't quite as busy as last week, but we will still be running to a couple of doctor appointments and running a few errands. And, I will work in the mornings. Wishing you a week ahead filled with all the blessings of Easter week!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!
Lovely photos. Especially the ducks.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a blessed Holy Week. God bless.
So glad you got the time with Joey and bet he enjoyed the time at the farm like you do. Prayers for Darlene and her upcoming surgery. Hope this is a good week for you and Joe.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had some time to relax with Joey in spite of the tax season. And I really enjoyed your photos, Terri, especially the selfie with the goat. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I may never have mentioned how much I love goats! They are so cute and they seem to like me too!
ReplyDeleteI love when actual palms are involved on a Palm Sunday message.
ReplyDelete3 nights? Wow... I know you all were so glad to see him but wish you could have more time.
So happy you had such a great visit with Joey...and he even got to go to the farm with you. Love the selfie with the goat. That is so cute...love that he was kissing you!! So glad you had a great Palm Sunday Service too. Yes, we also had palms to wave at church...I was waving mine through all the songs...it was really special. Have a blessed week. Be sure to take more treats next time to the farm! LOL. Praying for Darlene this week.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had an enjoyable, albeit working, visit with Joey! That goat is seriously tugging on my heartstrings. I'd love to have one or two!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day at the farm! I do love goats so your new friend just might be my favorite. Sorry it was a working weekend for the guys, but I'll bet it was great just to be together. Have a blessed Holy week!
