My weekends go way too fast when I work on Saturdays but that just makes the 3-day weekends all the sweeter!! Happy Monday, all!
I didn't go to play Nickels Friday night since I had to work on Saturday morning. Joe went and had fun. He said everyone asked about me. I think they know I won't play on a work night.
Saturday was fairly easy since two patients canceled their appointments. I've been going through files and updating lists, etc. He also wants me to empty the trash on Saturdays. Takes all of three minutes and doesn't even fill a tall kitchen trash bag. A company comes once a month for the bio-waste so I don't have to touch that.
Jill and Murray asked us over to play cards Saturday evening. We had a good time and didn't leave there until after 11:00!! Jill had the cutest napkins!! I had to snap a picture for you owl lovers... you know who you are!!
Joe and I had already decided we were going to skip going to church this week because they were having a pot-luck luncheon after services. We aren't quite ready to socialize that much yet, though we really do like Redeemer better than Covenant (so far). It was good because we both slept late Sunday morning.
Gregory (our techie friend and friend-friend!) came over around 12:30 on Sunday to tell us what we pretty much already knew. Our router isn't working. We took him out to lunch. His dog, Paisley, came too so we went to Fish City Grill where we could sit outside and keep Paisley with us. It was a fun time and a good lunch. I ordered a new router and surge protector that Gregory recommended. When it comes in, he will come back and install it for us.
I did snap a photo at Lake Morton of some pelicans...
Joe and I watched Villanova beat Creighton in college basketball yesterday and then watched the Eagles lose to the New Orleans Saints, dashing our hopes for another try at the Super Bowl. đ
Joe's brother, Lou, called to talk for a while yesterday afternoon. It's always good catching up with him.
Back to work today. Hoping to read about your weekends and wishing you a good week ahead! Thanks for your visit today!!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!
Even though you had to work, sounds like an easy weekend. Hoping the new week ahead is good to you too.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was surprisingly relaxed. I surely needed that!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice weekend even though you had to work.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend, Terri! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy. God bless you all.
ReplyDeleteI had a fun weekend at the Stitching Retreat and it was hard to come home to the Real World.lol
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the pelicans, we have them here in abundance!! I'll try and get a picture to share next time we go to Sylvan Beach. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend! I love that you have friends that get together a lot with each other! That is such a great way to spend time with friends - at each others homes! Glad work was not too busy also! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteIf it is any consolation, I will be cheering for New Orleans Saints this week.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your internet issue was a (relatively) easy fix. Love how more and more restaurants are making pet-friendly accommodations. Fur babies are family, too!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThat photo of the owl is a napkin?!? WOW, no wonder you took a photo of it. It is beautiful. :-) I like fun napkins.
I deliver Meal on Wheels this week, and we are getting rain today.. making more ice. YUCK! Still no snow here in our neck of the woods of Wisconsin.
Oh, wow, do I love that napkin, Terri! So sorry, though, that the Eagles lost last night - I was hoping they would somehow hang in there. Oh, well, there's always next year!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Sounds like you still managed to have a good weekend despite having to work.
ReplyDeleteWait... is that owl real?????
ReplyDeleteSome days you just need to sleep in on a Sunday.
I'm glad you've got somebody knowledgeable to help you with the computer problems. I'd be lost without Beloved's expertise in such things.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene of the lake! I love the napkin too!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to have fun on Sat night.
Ahhh. Eating outdoors sounds so divine. I used to think we'd be living in Florida by this stage of our lives, but things didn't happen like I expected them to.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture with the pelicans.
ReplyDeleteMind blowing post
