Thankful Thursday with Rebecca Jo...

Rebecca Jo hosts a fun Thankful Thursday link-up on her blog, Knit by God's Hand HERE!  Thanks, Rebecca Jo!!

Every week I seem to be repeating myself when I do this list, but I am so thankful and humble for the many blessings in my life.

The biggest blessing this week was getting news from Joe's MRI on his back.  The neurologist, Dr. Campanelli, told us that his back looks great for his age.  It is straight and strong and there is only one area where there is narrowing, but it is mild to moderate stenosis.  No back surgery, no epidural.  He is to continue with the pain management protocol and he also suggested getting a little more exercise. With his heart problem, exercise is difficult because he gets out of breath so quickly.  Hopefully, we will get that taken care of in early 2019.

I am thankful for the prayers and kind words for our daughter-in-law(love) Darlene, on the loss of her son, Steve.  Many people are sending love and prayers to her, her mom, and her daughter - and to us. I am sad to say that we didn't know Steve very well, but because we love Darlene, we love him too. Thank you.

I have mentioned before our wonderful neighbors and friends here in our community! We start our day, today, at Bible study and I have been invited to a ladies only luncheon at our Canadian neighbor's house (next door). It should be great fun!!

What are you thankful for today?  Thanks for stopping by!!

Peace & hugs! God bless!!

  1. The couple who teaches our Bible study is friends with a couple who may be moving to Florida. It's not a good situation. The husband is determined to go, though when there (they rent a condo every winter) he totally ignores his wife and spends his time in bars. The wife doesn't want to go because of how he is and because her mother is still alive and living up here. I told them about your community and all the friends you've made and the activities and suggested that they talk to their friends about finding something similar as it would probably good for the wife if her husband continues to leave her out of his life.

That's awesome about Joe's back!!! Always a relief when things get marked off as OK - especially when the word "Strong" can be used with it!

So happy that you are getting involved with ladies in your neighborhood and also the Bible Study, that is wonderful!! So glad for the good medical report for Joe. Praying he will continue to get stronger. TAke care and God bless you both.

  12. So happy to hear of Joe's good report. Prayers for you and for your family. I don't go to a Bible study but I have my own by myself every morning. It usually starts at 5 am... When my bones hurt I get up, grab a cup of coffee and study. It is the best time of the day.
