I am thankful for my (former) co-workers at the Museum who thought of me during the big fundraiser last weekend (The Gala) and sent me a picture of the staff (there is always a staff picture) and told me that I was missed. I do love these amazing people!! It was the first Gala in 20 years that I didn't attend/work.
The two ladies in the front row, left to right, are coming to speak at one of our Ladies' Coffees in April to talk about the Museum. Diana is the Membership Manager and Ellen is the Education Manager. Our Summer Art Camp offers scholarships to kids who can't afford to attend and I think our ladies might be interested in helping. Marilyn, also front row in purple, is who I had lunch with last week one day. She has taken over a lot of what I did and is doing an amazing job!
Blessed. Humble and blessed.
Yesterday we took our neighbors, Bob and Sharon, to Mazzaro's Italian Market. They couldn't make it two weeks ago when we took Anne and Paul and Jill and Murray. They enjoyed it I think. We had a good lunch and all did some shopping. We got the required photo of newbies on the Vespa...
I should make a collage of all the people we have introduced to Mazzaro's!
Thankful for good times and good friends!
Thankful for good times and good friends!
Joe has two doctor's appointments today and will attend his FICPA dinner meeting tonight. I am cooking dinner for Helen and Cheryl. Joe won't be home until well after dinner time. It will be fun! I usually make something that I know he won't like, but we girls will!
Thanks for your visit!! Why not link-up with your own thankful post at Knit By God's Hand!?
Peace & hugs!

Wishing you a splendid time with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Sounds lovely. I love all the fun you are having. God has truly blessed you in your new home and retirement. Mazzaro's looks like a fun place. And I love that your former co-workers thought of you at their gala. I can tell that it was a wonderful place to work and your years there were good...but your years in retirement will be even better! God is good, all the time Good!!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful day with good friends.... doesn't get any better!! Looks like the usual March snow is on its way hee...but soon it will be past us!! Then Springtime.. I am so looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fun time with your friends.
ReplyDeleteMazzaros must be a fun place to visit, and so glad you got to share with your friends. I know you ladies will enjoy spending time this evening and whatever you cook, will be good. Have a nice day!

Ahh - there's nothing like being missed. That's so cute they sent you that picture!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo people sent me the same photo. Love them all!
DeleteThat is so nice of your coworkers! I know for so many once they retire it's like they never existed and nobody keeps in touch with them. I'm glad you had such nice folks to work with. Enjoy your dinner with the girls!
ReplyDeleteI had great coworkers who are still friends and feel so blessed.
DeleteSo sweet of your former coworkers to remember you in that way! You are blessed with good friends, indeed!
ReplyDeleteI've wanted a butter yellow Vespa in my dreams... as well as a quiet little town to live, where I could ride it around safely.
ReplyDeleteI think a Vespa would be great fun!!
DeleteHow fun to have dinner with your girlfriends. Hope you all have a great time.
ReplyDeleteWe had a great time!
DeleteOne of these days I am going to get back to having Dinner Parties. Yours sounds delightful! Have a wonderful evening.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are healed and rehab is done I'm sure your dinner parties will be wonderful! You remain in my prayers!!
DeleteThat's a beautiful group picture, and so thoughtful to have shared it with you. Wouldn't it have been a hoot if someone were to Photoshop your face among them! :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be fun! Wish I knew how to do it!!
DeleteSuch a nice photo of the staff! It had to be strange not being there after all those years.
ReplyDeleteHope you girls had fun tonight!
Always so much to be thankful for! Enjoyed the group picture, so nice that they shared it with you. I love the comment Mevely317 made about photoshopping you into the picture!
