Tickled Tuesday...

On this Easter week, as we remember the sacrifice made for us by our merciful Lord, I am tickled by memories of Easters as a child when we got shiny new patent leather shoes, lacy anklets, a new bonnet, a new dress, and gloves to wear to church. Grandpa always bought a corsage for all of his girls to wear on that new dress. I know what a blessing these memories are and how blessed I was to grow up in such a loving family.

When we got home from church, there were Easter baskets full of candy to find. The Easter bunny always hid them good.  The ham was in the oven...  Great memories!  I should have changed today's post to Tuesday Treasured Memories.  Tell me about your childhood Easter memories!!

That's me on the front porch at Grandma's house.

Have a blessed Easter week!! Thanks for your visit!  Peace & hugs!

  2. I remember new dresses, church, dinner at the grandparents house then a big Easter Egg hunt with the cousins. The prize egg was plastic and had a dollar in it which was big money back then. Our Easter Baskets were on the sofa waiting for us when we got up on Easter Morning but only one piece of candy before breakfast. Love the picture of toddler Terri....so precious.

  5. Easter as a child was always fun....I was the only child, living with 5 grown ups, so needless to say, I got loads of goodies. We always had an Easter dinner, cooked by my precious Grandmother. I always attended church service. I always had a new Easter 'outfit' too! Happy Tuesday Terri!

  9. Beautiful memories, Teri. I bet you were the sweetest little girl. We loved Easter and all the things you described. I always came home from Sunday School ready to teach the Easter story to my brother and sister and the neighbor kids.
