Weekend Recap on Monday....

I apologize if this offends, but I was looking for a .gif about getting things done and this one just made me giggle....

I did indeed get some stuff done this past weekend.  It felt good to get some curtains ordered, to get five more boxes emptied and my side of the den organized. I got laundry done, we enjoyed supper out with friends on Saturday and I cooked dinner last night. Our new house feels more and more like home.  Did I mention that the cats have been amazing?!

We popped into the consignment store that has our old dining room set.  They sold the table and six chairs!!  We'll be getting a check at the end of the month for a little over $200!!

I have a busy week at work so not much will be done in the evenings this week.

For those who have been with me awhile, you know about my brother-in-law's stroke two years ago.  He is doing so well now!  He is making good progress with this therapy.  Tammy sent this picture of him yesterday.  He really looks happy and healthy!

Thanks so much to those who still have him on your prayer lists!  They are planning to come down for a visit sometime soon!

That's all I have.  Thanks for your visit!  Peace & hugs.

  5. Praising God about your brother-in-law! We know someone here - - - through family marriages who had a bad stroke about 5 years ago and he is still making miraculous progress. It has been slow but it is progress.
Glad to hear the cat update.
Also happy to hear about the furniture. I am consigning a small bunch of stuff at a children's sale later this month. Generally I give stuff away but I bought it at this sale and it seems that is the direction God is leading me this time - - - and timing is great as we transition into retirement!!

  6. Since both our GM and AGM are women, I'm loving this .gif!
I was wondering how your fur babies were adapting.
Such GOOD news, Terri ... especially, your BIL's continuing recovery! God is good!

  8. Isn't it just amazing what they can do in medicine these days? He looks fantastic! I'm not offended at all. I love those gals. And I may, or may not, have uttered that word once, or way more times, in my life. Ha! Glad the unpacking is going well. Reni and Evan are working on packing. She's installing closet organizers tomorrow and will start moving things over slowly. The yard sale is set for the 18th, I think, and that should be that. I remember buying this house. It's exciting when it's your first. After that, it's a chore, eh? LOL

So happy to hear about your brother in law. That is wonderful news. And the dining room set selling...that is more great news!! $200. is nothing to sneeze at!! Don't worry about us this week...just rest when you get home each night and do only what HAS to be done!!!
