I was invited out to lunch by our friend and resident techie guy, Gregory, so I was expecting to go out to a restaurant and have maybe a few others join us (just because that's what we usually do for special anniversaries).
This morning, Gregory told me that too many people wanted to go to lunch and they couldn't find a place that could take us all on short notice. Instead, we ordered pizza and had our little party in the conference room/library. Joe was also invited. He's pretty good at keeping secrets (though I did kind of expect him, because that's what we usually do for special anniversaries).
It was great fun. I even got a gift (a lovely framed photograph of Lake Mirror) and a card signed by most of the staff. I really do love my coworkers and will sure miss them when I retire. Of course we will still be in touch and will maintain our membership for events and openings. It's not like we are moving out of state. Still bittersweet. Four more months.
Here are some photos from my special day. I'll be linking up with Deb over at Breathing In Grace, for Friday Foto Friends.
I am so blessed and do not take the blessings for granted.
It's been a long week for me and I am happy it's Friday!! Happy St. Patty's Day!! Peace & hugs!!

What a swell way to celebrate you, Terri. Congratulations, indeed. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI love that they honored you so nicely! Happy Anniersary!

ReplyDeleteA special celebration for sure. You will be missed greatly, but when it is time, it is time!
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice way to celebrate your anniversary. You do have great co-workers. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you're co-workers helped you celebrate this anniversary. Congrats on 20 years...WoW....that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you all honor each other with celebrations. I miss that as well. We were more family than co-workers for many of us.
ReplyDeleteThat is so nice... believe me. SUPER NICE> I've been at my job for 24 years & never even had my birthday celebrated or any sort of acknowledgement. Geez... I'm depressed now ;) haha
ReplyDeleteThis place and our terrific staff are amazing. I am SO blessed.
DeleteIt's obvious your co-workers love you and will miss you when you retire. It is a bittersweet time. I retired in late 2015 after just 6 years at my job, and it was still difficult! But, I can honestly say I don't miss going to work everyday one bit!!! Retirement is wonderful! I just enjoyed a lovely nap with my hubby...still adjusting to time change, and so thankful I didn't have to get up early and go to work every day this week!!! Yes, Retirement has its advantages, as you will soon learn!! Enjoy your last 4 months...and then enjoy retirement for the rest of your life!! :) Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet 20th anniversary celebration. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome place to work. I'm so glad that you enjoy your job...that's such a blessing. How nice to be recognized, too. Twenty years is a long time. Thanks for sharing and linking up. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS! Twenty years is a long time and shows greatness of character in putting up with all that comes along in that length of time, in any set of circumstances.
ReplyDeleteWhat great co-workers you have!
Congrats Terri... You have wonderful co workers. You will keep in touch with those wonderful people after you retire I am sure.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting that your co-workers remembered and celebrated! Congrats.
