Thankful Thursday Link-up....
I am linking up with Rebecca Jo, over at Knit By God's Hand, for her Thankful Thursday link-up!
I am so thankful for family and good friends!!
I am late getting this posted today. Too much going on last night! We took Helen and Cheryl out to eat at Olive Garden. Yesterday was Helen's 89th birthday. After dinner, they followed us back to the house and we had ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.
I forgot to get a picture of the cake before we cut it, but we all dug in and enjoyed our dessert! We also talked about the need to throw a much bigger party next year, to celebrate her 90th! Hoping God will bless us with that opportunity!!
My 'baby' sister, Tammy and her hubby, Bruce, are coming down for Easter weekend!! We are excited about that! Helen and Cheryl will join us for Easter dinner at our house, so it will be very festive around our table!
Tomorrow night, we are taking our friends, Teena and Randy, out to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. No meat for us on a Friday, but it will still be good! Teena is the one who told her friends about our house going on the market (before it went on the market) and the friends bought it from us! We told Teena we at least needed to treat them to dinner for helping to get our house sold!
I am thankful and blessed with the beautiful people in my life, and that includes my dear connections here on Blogger too! Thanks for your visit today!! Be blessed!! Peace & hugs.

Happy Birthday Helen!!! Hmm...not sure what we are doing for Easter...smiles.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for you, Terri. Have a beautiful day, friend. (and no Dairy Queen here)
We haven't made any Easter plans yet. Most likely hubby will have to work but not sure yet.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
What a blessing to reach 89 and still enjoying good health and life in general. So glad you get to be with your sis at Easter. We don't have any plans yet either. Keeping my options open.
ReplyDeleteOur son-in-law's favorite birthday cake is from DQ. He likes the Reese's peanut butter cup ice cream cake.
ReplyDeleteAnd we are thankful for you and your friendship too! Easter is coming fast, and I know you will have a delightful meal with your sister and hubby, plus friends. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteWow! She looks too young to be 89. Sounds like you're having a wonderful week of celebrating.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday (belated) to Helen! What a happy-appearing soul!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Bruce is feeling well enough to travel. I know y'all are excited to celebrate Easter with those you love!
Sounds like a wonderful Easter coming up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy birthday face!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter sounds like fun. I'm not sure if we will do anything special this year since we're going to Texas first. I'll figure it out after we get back.
Helen looks amazing! It's great to be able to be thankful for so many people and I know they are thankful for you too. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cheerful post!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Helen, she looks like a very happy lady!
