- Our neighbors were gone a couple of days and we took care of the cats and the house for them (as they do for us). Their granddaughter is in the Navy and her ship came in up in Jacksonville. They (most of the family) got to watch the ship come in and dock, then got to tour the ship. There are lots of great photos posted on Facebook. What an exciting experience! I'm so glad it all happened before the tropical storm moved through.
- It is a blessing to have neighbors who are also dear friends.
- Speaking of the tropical storm, it has been raining steadily and heavily since about 5:00 p.m. yesterday. So far, Lakeland is okay but there is some bad flooding over on the Gulf coast.
- I'm happy Monday is over. Work is a bit stressful, always, for me in June. It's the last month of our fiscal year and the audit starts next month.
- At least we have a nice Folly Beach getaway coming up in another week. We are also spending a night on the way back with our son and daughter-in-law in Georgia. Too quick with just a night, but it will still be fun. We are looking forward to it all!
Thanks again for your visit! I wish you a good Tuesday and also peace & hugs!!

nice post
ReplyDeleteYour life is so full of adventures and fun and family-oriented. A part of me is quite envious. HOPE today is much better than yesterday....less stressful....and your cough is letting up, too! Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Terri! That is so nice that your neighbors were able to greet their granddaughter as her ship came in! Love the photos! I know you are going to enjoy every minute of your trip to Folly...I'm so excited to see the photos!

ReplyDeleteI saw your part of Florida on the news last night. Stay safe!! And think VACATION as you deal with those work stresses. We are blessed to have wonderful neighbors as well.

ReplyDeleteTerri, you are just so blessed to have so many exciting trips and you seem to enjoy everything you do. I'm glad you haven't gotten the worst of the storms. Good neighbors are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteGood neighbors are definitely one of life's blessings. I'm glad you are not getting the flooding. I saw a video on Facebook where a manatee had washed over the seawall and ended up in someone's backyard! Poor thing. I hope they got it back where it belonged.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a blessing to have great neighbors
ReplyDeleteGreat to have good neighbours. Hope you don't get flooded.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are doing ok in that storm!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to have neighbors who are good friends too.
Happy to hear y'all came out relatively unscathed from Colin. I swear, Mother Nature must be bi-polar!
ReplyDeleteBeing on that ship would be such a thrill. Thanks for allowing us to experience it second-hand!
Those pictures bring memories of the time we got to tour Thyda's ship. Very, very fascinating. And it most certainly makes you appreciate our sailors when you see the sleeping quarters.
