As Long As You Love Me
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: As Long As You Love Me (1997)
... Because Bookstraveller suggested The Backstreet Boys. Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
9) The band's record-breaking 1999 tour was sponsored by the Sears department store chain. Sam remembers the twice-a-year shopping trips to Sears -- spring and fall -- with her mother to update Sam's school wardrobe. What's the last article of clothing you bought? Just yesterday I bought two tops and a maxi (do they still call them that?) skirt.
Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. In fact sometimes, if you want to read & comment on everyone's responses, you might want to check back again tomorrow. But it is not a rule. We haven’t any rules here. Join us on next Saturday for another version of Saturday: 9, "Just A Silly Meme on a Saturday!" Enjoy your weekend!

1) This video shows the boys in the band nervously await an audition. When were you last nervous? When Joe had his stroke back in February.
2) BSB Brian Littrell was born with a congenital heart problem and had open heart surgery the year this song was released. Who is the last person you visited in the hospital? My sweetheart, best friend and husband, Joe.
3) Littrell had different health trouble in 2009. While working in Japan, he contracted swine flu, which caused the band to cancel several events. Have you battled a cold or flu this summer? Just got over a nasty cold...took 3 weeks!
4) When you feel a cold coming on, what's your favorite remedy? Tylenol Cold and Coricidin. Thera-flu is good too.
5) Brian and his cousin, fellow BSB member Kevin Richardson, are both from Kentucky and have been inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. According to their website, if you tour the Hall of Fame you'll see exhibits that celebrate Kentucky's contribution to American music. Do you enjoy museums? Or do you think they're a snooze? I enjoy museums (have worked in one for almost 20 years!) as long as it is about something I am interested in.

6) BSB Nick Carter was named one of People magazine's "Most Beautiful People in the World." Who is someone you think is especially gorgeous? Both of our grandchildren are gorgeous!!
7) This spring Nick became a father for the first time. Is anyone in your life expecting a baby this year? Not that I know of right now.
8) The band has been involved in ongoing litigation with their first manager, saying he had been dishonest with them about how much they had earned. Tell us about someone you trusted, but shouldn't have. My first husband. That's all I'll say about that.

We have had a wonderful time with family here in Folly Beach, South Carolina. Heading south today, and looking forward to an over--night visit with our son and daughter-in-law in Brunswick, GA. The trip back to Florida won't seem quite as long since we get to break it up and enjoy some time with the kids. I have lots of photos to share, and have to mention that starting the little holiday by having lunch with blogging friend Pam and one of her lovelies, Molly, was so fun!! Loved them and felt like we have known each other for years....
I have never been disappointed when meeting a blogging friend. We are such a great group of people here!! Have a wonderful weekend! Peace & hugs.

ReplyDeleteYour mention of Thera-Flu made me LOL: You see, that's how my co-worker in St. Pete became my BF. I gave her one of my Thera-Flu packets in good faith, and to this day she tells everyone I tried poisoning her.
