The week after a holiday or vacation always - always - seems so much longer than most weeks, to me anyway!
I was on the way to the new orthopedic doctor appointment yesterday morning when my phone rang. Most of the time, I don't answer the phone when I'm driving but I thought it might be something going on at the Museum. It's a good thing I didn't ignore it, because it was the doctor's office calling to cancel the appointment. The doctor got called away for an emergency at the hospital. Sigh.
At least, I wasn't too far down the road and was able to turn around and go to work. I have a new appointment for Monday, the 18th.
No plans for the weekend. That's a good thing. I need to clean and I need to get through my closet and switch out summer for winter. There isn't that much difference, here in Florida, but there is a difference. Short sleeves for long sleeves. Lighter colors for darker colors.

Good thing they caught you. That kind of stuff grates on me. I mean I know stuff happens, but if you are like me and trying to get to an appointment with Charlotte traffic then find out, there is no appointment, well I don't do so good. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteUgh, sorry about that, Terri. I thought of you yesterday (and my parents) We were watching the new HGTV Home giveaway from Merrit Island and hubby goes, "Wouldn't that be fun to win? We could move back to Fl." SAY WHAT? NOT (was my reply). LOL

Well, at least you didn't make it all the way to the appointment to find out it had been cancelled! I know you're glad it's Friday. Me, too, and I don't even work outside the home....it's been a loooooong week since hubby had to work 5 days....and they've been longer days than usual for him, too. :( Any-who...glad it's FRIDAY....HOPE you have a productive weekend.

ReplyDeleteHi, Terri. I live in Florida too. We've had some chilly weather lately but today is much better. I love winter when I can dig out the jeans! My switch from summer wardrobe to winter is about the same. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI can remember my working days, how I looked forward to getting off work on Friday, having 2 full days without having to go back!! Been a long time ago. Now everyday is like Saturday!!

ReplyDeleteI had the same thing happen on the way to my eye appointment a couple of months ago. That was on a Saturday that I desperately needed to stay home to get things done, so I was annoyed. There I was, all dressed up and no appointment after all, and then having to go back home to get dirty again.
