Laughter IS Contagious!

Wednesday's Hodgepodge had a question about the last time you laughed so hard it hurt.  I didn't have an answer. I do laugh a lot and believe it is a very healthy thing to do.  Joe is so funny and makes me laugh all the time. I have some great co-workers too, and we laugh frequently at work.  But laughing so hard it hurts....it's been awhile.

I saw this video on Facebook yesterday and remembered seeing it before.  Laughter really is contagious, at least for me!  (I also cry when I see others crying, but today is about laughter!)




When I was a kid (a long, long, long time ago) I had my mom's collection of 78 rpm records and loved listening to them.  All the oldies and big bands. Scratchy and marvelous!  One of her records was the Jones Laughing Record.  It could always make me laugh and I found it on YouTube!!  Here it is.....



And all of that laughter leads to me my birthday!  I happen to think birthdays are special and I'm not shy about it. God made us in His image. He knew me before anyone else knew me.  That seems kind of special to me!  I used to thank my mom on my birthday for giving me birth and I thank God daily for another day to celebrate life. My 64th year is finished now.  Tomorrow puts me on the path to completing my 65th year. Where has the time gone?

    Laughter is the best medicine. I find myself laughing a whole lot more with having my grandkids with me. Enjoy your weekend. I love the festive header on your blog.

    We, especially my brother James,used to love listening to Bill Cosby's records. I remember him telling the story about having his tonsils out. He was very funny, but no comment on what he is today. Happy birthday again

    That was great! I've had too many experiences with contagious laughter when it was completely inappropriate! We used to enjoy doing The Laughing Song. There are a few versions of that on YouTube also.
