Tuesday Tidbits....

When we were in St. Augustine a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that we visited an antique store while waiting for our table at O'Steen's Restaurant.

I purchased two bowls.  One is Murano glass (from Italy).  Joe and I visited the Murano glass factory when we were in Italy and bought a few pieces while there. I was excited to find this treasure (to me) and we thought the price was amazing.  The antique dealer swore it was Murano glass.

It is a very pale pink and will make a lovely salad bowl when I'm using my china, which has pink rosebuds.  At least, that was my thought when I saw the bowl.

We also bought a Pyrex bowl.  It is a 404 4-quart bowl.  No scratches or chips.  It was priced well too.  I have a 'thing' for bowls and platters.  I just like them....

I had to hit the ground running yesterday, at work.  This is a busy week for me, but I do have lunch with girlfriends planned for Wednesday and Friday.  I'll look forward to that.

Not much else to report today, so I'll sign off.  Thanks for checking in with me!  Peace & hugs!

  5. I have an old Pyrex mixing bowl set that my MIL gave me. They belonged to her mother. It is dark pink/salmon too. I love them and use them all the time.

  10. I love dishes, too--and you can tell this from my kitchen cabinets! They're overflowing... I "adopted" several new bowls and platters when Ed's mom passed away.

  11. Love your bowls. The other night one of my Corelle plates that I've had for years and years fell off the counter (my fault) and broke. Those are the plates that I use the most. Enjoy your lunch tomorrow.
