Tuesday Tidbits....

  • My RCCW meeting last night was very nice. We began with Mass, with our Pastor, Fr. Charles, presiding. Intimate and very special. We have 16 new members, which is phenomenal! It was good reconnecting with friends.
  • I get my hair cut tonight, after work (well, I have to leave a little early). My hair just gets bigger. Natural curls have a way of just getting bigger, rather than looking longer.
  • We will be watching the neighbors' cats next week. They are going on a cruise. Our neighbors love to cruise, and they get some very good deals. We went once and just didn't enjoy it, but we have been talking about giving it another try. We were on a smaller ship and the weather was awful.  Do any of you 'cruise'?  Any advice?
  • We have the Eagles game on TV as I am typing this (to schedule for tomorrow). Joe is not happy. They don't look good and are behind. Hoping the Eagles begin to fly and make this one a win! I'm going to bed before it is over!
  • One of the women I sat with at the meeting last night is fighting her third round of breast cancer This time it has metastasized to her lymph glands. She had some of them removed and the doctors will determine what kind of chemo she gets, from the results. If you have a prayer list, please add Cindy J. to your list. She asked for prayer.
  • I mentioned Fr. Charles above. If any of you follow the Cake Boss, on TV, and saw Buddy and his wife renew their vows for their 10th anniversary (on a cruise ship), Fr. Charles was the Priest who performed the ceremony for them! I thought that was pretty cool!!

Hope you have a good Tuesday! We need to go grocery shopping when I get home from work. The cupboard is not bare, but getting there! We didn't do anything Sunday, and I was at work all day Saturday, which is my usual shopping day. Does anyone else hate grocery shopping? It is just such a chore to me. Praise God that I can go grocery shopping though. I count my blessings.

Peace, love & hugs.

  1. We love to travel, but we don't cruise. When we travel we like to get away from crowds so being on a boat with hundreds or thousands does not appeal to me. The Eagles flew : )

  2. We love to travel but have never been on a cruise. We would like to someday.
I am lucky that my hubby will go grocery shopping. :)
    Have a great day!

  3. Wow, 16 new members! That's a lot. I've never cruised and if I did I'd take a short one first. I get motion sick and am afraid of that happening. And yes, I hate grocery shopping. One of my least favorite chores. Have a great day!

  4. Happy that your meeting was so good with new members too! I have been on a cruise and it was ok. I probably wouldnt spend the money on another one. It was like floating Florida to me, and I would rather be earth bound....lol I detest grocery shopping. Enjoy this Tuesday.

  5. Yes I hate everything about grocery shopping! We've never gone on a cruise and never will. Just not something we're interested in and I don't like water!

  6. That is cool, although I'm not familiar with that TV show. I don't like cruises or ferry crossings. Ferry crossings almost always go through rough weather. Once coming back from Morocco, the ship my friend and I were on almost tipped over. We had to sit among wreckage for at least an hour.
I'll keep Cindy in my prayers. Have a good day.

  7. I saw the commercials where the Cake Boss was going to do that. I don't generally watch it though. Can't cope with the drama. I like TV shows to relax me somewhat - - not like our men who watch the teams playing no matter how the game is going and what it does to their mood. Lol. Bad news to hear of cancer a third time. If she is comfortable with where she is being treated, that is good. If not, I keep hearing about Cancer Treatment Centers of America and their successes, too - - and also you get to help decide your treatment plan. Don't know of anyone who has gone - - -just the infomercials.

  8. My heart and prayers are with Cindy. God bless her. I've never been on a cruise but always thought it would be fun. I got my grocery shopping done Friday. I hate that job too. That's great there are so many new members to come to RCCW.

  10. God bless Cindy. How neat about Fr. Charles!
I would get terribly motion sick on a cruise....John's best friend/wife go on cruises about every 3 mos. They love the whole experience. Good luck with the hair cut. My hair is naturally curly/wavy and gets BIG very fast!

  11. We've never taken a cruise. I like to travel, but so far that doesn't sound too fun.
    Very cool about Father Charles!
    Praying for Cindy.
