Throw Back Thursday....

I have posted photos of our lovely granddaughter, Lauren, several times recently. When we were in Naples last weekend, I was showing her some of the photos I had scanned in and this one made us both chuckle.

She LOVED Volkswagen Bugs, and one of my co-workers had this yellow one. She actually let Lauren sit in the driver's seat, and then she took Lauren for a ride in it. Lauren was in heaven!

For many years, Lauren got to come for a visit, in the summers, and stayed with us for two weeks. She went to Summer Art Camp, at the Museum, so it worked out great for us. When Lauren out-grew Summer Art Camp, Tristan started to come down in the summers.  She was probably 7 or 8 in this picture. We aren't sure. We did have some fun, though. She also had a "thing" that she had to get in our swimming pool every day, even if it was raining.

Sure do love that girl!!  Thanks for stopping in! Peace, love & hugs.

  2. Terri, she is precious, and how fast they grow up!

Mr. Magpie hasn't seen our little goddaughter in months, and suddenly, she is a young lady! Overnight. Sigh.

  6. What a cute picture! Our Laura always loved bugs too. When they first came out, one of my brother-in-laws co-workers got one, so we drove to his workplace and also took pictures. Fun memories!

  7. That's cute. I have a "thing" for VW bugs too. I love the newer ones, but we used to have so much fun in our old one (many many years ago).
