The dinner last night was very nice. It is always good to be with friends. We celebrated our year, said thanks to the officers leaving office after two years, and celebrated our new officers. It is nice that husbands are invited! The food was good, too - always a bonus at meals like this!
Mingling before taking our seats.
Fr. Ivan visited all the tables. Ours had some special ladies. The woman in blue (next to my empty chair) is almost 95 years old and is a cancer survivor. Next to her is another woman, who is 94. Both women are sharp, active, and full of life (and still driving!). Amazing. The woman is red is also a cancer survivor and a good friend. Next to her is a woman retired from the Publix bakery. She decorates special cakes for us now and then. Joe was trying to move out of the way....oops!
The salad was very good!
Joe and I both had the ribeye. It was excellent! Love asparagus, too!
I'm going to do the Sunday Stealing for tomorrow....stolen (again) from Thank You Great Spirit .
Wishing everyone a good week ahead!! May blessings surround you!

Glad the meeting was good, food, friends and all. Tell Joe to get well and not give you that crud! lol

ReplyDeleteFood looks good, so it's not surprising you enjoyed your dinner. Still keeping my fingers crossed that Joe feels better soon and you escape from being sick. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
