Throw back Thursdays are getting me to sift through some of those photos, still sitting in boxes, to share with you all. It's a good thing, and I thank you for visiting and enduring.....
Senior band members. The year was 1970. That's me, 2nd from the left, sitting in the first row. This photo is in the yearbook, but I had the original photo, since I was on Yearbook staff and we got to keep photos that were used in the book.
My two first cousins and me. Tom and Peggy both died of cancer when they were 59 years old. Peggy died of undetected bladder cancer. Tom died of esophageal cancer. Tom was a Church of Christ pastor, and not a drinker or a smoker. Peggy was a minister's wife, and could play the piano so well. They are missed. Both had children and left spouses behind.
Remember that pixie cut from last week? Still have it in this photo of me and my brother, Randy, who also died of cancer (age 48). I miss him. He left a loving wife and two children.
It is so great to have photos and memories!! Thanks for your visit! Blessings!

You're lucky to have so many pictures from your youth. They really are fun to look at.
ReplyDeleteHowever, there's been too many lost too cancer.
Yes, too many lost from cancer. But I did enjoy your photos, Terri. Love the pixie cut and sweet times remembered. Have a wonderful Thursday.
ReplyDeleteLove your pics and hearing about your family. Sorry so many were lost to cancer.
ReplyDeleteYour pixie cut looks cute. :) Have a great day!
Love, love, love your pics!! Thanks for the Throwback Thursday..and the smiles. I am so sorry about your family. Blessings
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun looking at our old pictures and remembering the good times. Your family was certainly hit by cancer more than most. Loved your flip hair-do and the pixie cut. I like having my hair cut as short as possible, without shaving it. Have good Thursday.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your old photos. Didn't you say you were going to throw them away after you'd scanned them? I don't think I could do that. Yours are in excellent condition as are your memories of them.
ReplyDelete...a fun trip back in time...oh the memories. Sadly, lives lost way too soon.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun looking at your childhood photos. Great memories.
