Good Friday....
It never seems right to call the say of the crucifixion, 'good'.
We are going to attend Good Friday services at the First United Methodist Church tonight. Our friend, Gregory, constructed a cross for his church, which will be dedicated and used in the service. We want to support him by being there to experience it.
We haven't yet decided which Sunday service we will attend. Still considering it.
Most of my co-workers took today off, since the schools are closed. We actually get Monday as our staff holiday, since Easter is on Sunday. We have two floating holidays that we can use, and most take Good Friday off, too. That means it will be quiet and I'll get some work done, hopefully! Even the boss is gone.
I am using Joe's laptop, and have finally caught up on blogs. I know I missed a few, but I tried to get around to at least one of everyone's that I've been missing. He rarely uses it, so I can limp along with it for awhile, until we can think about a new one for me.
If you will be away from blogging for the weekend, enjoy your family and friends!! I'll look forward to photos and stories next week!! Thanks for stopping by! Love you and wish you a blessed Easter! Peace, love & hugs.

ReplyDeleteGood Friday always gives me a feeling inside that I don't feel at any other time of the year. To think that God, who created the whole universe, died for ME, is just a solemn thought that I will never get over. Have a nice weekend. Hope you get lots done today too!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Linda's comment. Have a lovely weekend, Happy Easter. Blessings
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, and happy Easter to you!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about calling it 'good.' I've thought about that a lot, and the thing I keep thinking of is that it truly was GOOD for us, because our sins were put on Jesus at the Cross, He took our punishment. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Resurrection Sunday, Terri.
ReplyDeleteLinda said it all for me too... it is a very solemn time of the year for me. I feel so humble that God would do that for me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a blessed Easter.
Hope you get lots of work done. I know your friend Gregory will be happy to see you and Joe in church. May everyone attending the service be blessed.
ReplyDeleteHope you and yours have a very Blessed Easter as well. Going to write my weekend posts tonight and schedule them so I won't have to blog over the weekend.
ReplyDeletemy Good Friday service was very emotional...in maybe a healing way...but still I think Good Friday should be called Bad Friday.
