Tuesday Tidbits....

Copied these from Facebook.  Everyone is having fun, making fun of Florida for being WARM during December!!  Y'all just come on down!! There is plenty of sunshine to go around!

The funeral I attended yesterday afternoon was very nice and standing room only.  I am always happy to see so many people paying their respect for the deceased and the family.  The Parry family is well known here in Central Florida, and my friend, Margaret (wife of the deceased), is from the Pope family - the ones who founded Cypress Gardens way back in the 30s.  St. Joseph Catholic Church is the oldest church in Lakeland, and is so beautiful.  http://www.stjosephlakeland.org/history

I am getting my hair color touched up this afternoon.  I have three more hours of personal time  to use or lose, and will use it today - leaving at 2:00.

The last of our gifts that need to be mailed is going out today. Bless Joe for running the post office errands!  He made a trip yesterday, and another today - then we are done!

That's all that I have for you today!  Thanks for stopping by!! Peace, love & hugs.

  3. I thought everybody knew that Florida was 'paradise' in the winter! That is a beautiful church and it is nice so many people were there for the funeral. You are so smart, having all your shopping done and mailed. I haven't bought that first gift yet, but I don't have much to buy and will get it sometime this week or next. Have a good Tuesday.

  5. The problem I see with people from the North coming down is either they'll have to be willing to sleep in an airport because their flights have been cancelled or they have to hazard the drive. I'd just rather put on a couple more layers or bake something. Besides, you must admit the photos of the snow that everyone has been posting are Christmas perfect.
    Enjoy your time off today.

  9. I never hate on Florida; I just feel sorry for everyone missing out on snow! I sure hope I get to see something year. Sunny South Carolina got zero snow last year. This year, it snowed here a tiny bit the day after I left for Illinois!
