It has been a very nice Saturday! Oh - except for breaking heat records. We had 85° yesterday, and probably about the same today. Too hot for December!!
My DAR Chapter had their Christmas Luncheon/Meeting today. It was well attended and I met a few new people, which is always fun. We had a nice meal, and a nice program about the history of Christmas carols. During the history lesson, two children of one of the members, and the mom of my good friend, Teena, sang carols for us. Door prizes were drawn for (I didn't win...big surprise!), and a good time was had by all.
The tables were beautiful as were the banquet room decorations. We meet, each month, at The Club at Eaglebrooke (http://www.eaglebrooke.com/).
Joe got our outside lights up yesterday. They are not as festive as the folks across the street, but at least our house looks ready for Christmas. He has added a couple more things (including a Nativity) but here are a couple of photos I took.
We went to Mass at 4:00, then out to eat at a new fast food restaurant that just opened a couple of weeks ago. It is called PDQ and their main thing is chicken tenders. What we had was good, but I wasn't real impressed. I think Chick fil-a is better. We ran into Publix for a few things and are now home catching up on things we have DVR'd this week.
Tomorrow - wrapping and packing gifts, and getting Christmas cards ready to go. Oh - and laundry. :)
Wishing you a good Sunday!! Thanks for stopping by. Peace, love & hugs!!

Your house looks nice. We got our tree decorated yesterday. Sounds like you had a nice day. Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI love the sign on the lawn. Who has the biggest Birthday Party every year? answer: it is not your grand child.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun weekend! You are SO far ahead of me!

ReplyDeleteThe table setting was so pretty and sure the food was good there. We put up less and less each year, but yours always looks pretty...the house across the street does go all out!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think we're all working like elves or getting ready to. I like how you've decorated inside and outside too. Just wonder what the house across from you looks like inside. It's time to enjoy some Christmas music and do some Christmas chores. Enjoy your Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhoa..I have to stop..85*? LOL--WOW!! Yeah, my dad said they were still swimming. No swimming here..unless your a polar bear or Canadian Geese, lol. ANYWAYS..Beautiful photos!!! Blessings
ReplyDeleteThe decorations are lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's been hotter than normal here too (SE Georgia). I don't like it because it makes the everything "sweat" with moisture which can lead to mold. Yuck! Today we've had intermittent rain and there are predictions of cooler temps. I sure hope so!
God bless. ~:)
Nice decorations. We've never been able to do outside decorations, I do enjoy driving around and looking at others though.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Terri. So few decorations around here. Just us and our next door neighbor. Non of the businesses. Nothing on the light poles. It looks just like any other time of the year. Maybe next week more homes will decorate.
