The MEME Monday Quiz About Me: Brought to you by Heather and Wayne, at Acting Balanced. Join in by going HERE.
1. Did you get what you wanted for Christmas? I really didn't have anything in mind that I wanted. I got quite a few very nice things, and a generous gift card to go shopping at my favorite Coldwater Creek store, so no complaints!
2. Do you plan to make New Year's Resolutions or set new goals? What do you resolve or hope for in the new year? I stopped making resolutions years ago. Of course I hope to lose weight, but resolutions get broken by week two, so I just don't make them anymore.
3. December 30th is National Bicarbonate of Soda day - (yes this is really a day) - what do you use it for? I use it in baking and sometimes to clean the stainless steel kitchen sink, but that's about it.
4. Liam wants to know what kind of car you drive... or what kind of car is your dream car? I drive a Kia Sportage that is going on seven years old. It is paid for and I take good care of it. I always keep a car for 10-12 years. Love my Kia, though. Joe drives a Kia Spectra, that he likes very much. It is also almost seven years old and paid for. I like having them both paid for!! If I won the lottery (a BIG one) I might have to go look at Land Rovers.
5. My question for you folks reading this is: My sister-in-law leaves their 7-foot tree in the formal living room all year long, and she changes the decorations for the season. I'm not sure I could handle that. When do you take your decorations down (or do you leave them up and change them, like she does?)??
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Monday (if there is such a thing)!! Peace, love & hugs!!
I know what you mean about having a car/vehicle paid for. That means more shopping money instead of car payments. LOL
ReplyDeleteAs for Land Rovers, I told Bud we need a Toyota EJ to go birding. He just shakes his head. Of course, I'm just kidding.
We take our tree down on New Year's Day. I couldn't handle a tree up all year long. We have even downsized our decorations now that we don't host a lot of parties.
ReplyDeleteI took down all the inside decorations, which werent many. The live tree on the porch will stay until Wed. or Thurs. or whenever my son can help me un-decorate. It will be planted in his yard. I dont make resolutions any longer...what will be, will be for me. Have a good, easy back at work day!
ReplyDeleteNot owing money for anything is a wonderful feeling, whether it be a car, which I don't have, or whatever. I don't make new year's resolutions either. I don't have space for a 7-foot tree, but I sure wouldn't leave it up all year round.
ReplyDeleteWe own our car too, loved your answers. Already taken the decorations down..the tree/ornaments by Jan 3. Since it is a real tree this yr and it is still green, might leave it up for awhile, lol. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI usually leave mine up until after the first. I used to leave it up until the 6th but that's my birthday and taking down the Christmas tree is the last thing I want to do!
ReplyDeleteTree comes down the first weekend in January (earlier this year, since we are moving).
ReplyDeleteOur tree always came down the last day of the holidays. Our living rooms have always been too small so it was a relief. I certainly wouldn't want one up all year long.
ReplyDeleteKia Spectras are nice cars!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't put up a tree this year because we weren't home for Christmas, but we usually leave the decorations up until Epiphany.
We have a resident in our nursing home that has a tree up all year. Her son changes the theme every few months. It makes her happy. (She is a concentration camp survivor, so whatever makes her happy is good!)
ReplyDeleteI put mine up right after Thanksgiving and it comes down right after Christmas!
I take my tree down some time after Epiphany, but once, I left a white tabletop tree up till spring was over! It was so cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd Mr Magpie would love a Land Rover... He drives a 25 year old Volvo!
Oh, and Happy New Year! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI am hoping our tree gets taken down on New Years. Have a safe Happy New Years!
ReplyDeleteI only learned a couple things about you today, what car you drive and what you'd like to have. :) The rest I could answer the same.
ReplyDeleteAs for #5, your question to us.... we often do the traditional 12 days of Christmas, sort of. But we put up our tree the week before Christmas, instead of Christmas Eve, and we take it down around Jan. 7th, Epiphany. This year it may come down early.
WOW!! She must get a lot of light in the room to be able to leave it up year around!! I love trees, so it it didn't get in the way and was healthy- why not have a tree in your house ??????
ReplyDeleteI try to take my fake tree down before going back to school, so that means by this weekend. Grrrrr!
I can't even fathom having a tree up all year round. I don't put up a tree so I can't really comment on this but growing up we'd start taking it down the weekend after christmas.
