- We had a great time with our friends, last night, enjoying a delicious dinner, some interesting drinks, and lots of good conversation and laughter! We are so blessed, and are only sorry we were missing two of our usual group. Fran and Bob weren't back from their Christmas travels.
Luisa & Ernest and Mary Ellen & Mike (our hosts)
- My back is better today, for which I am extremely thankful!!
- Joe hurt his knee yesterday, putting the trash out for pick-up. I resisted telling him "welcome to my world" and rather got him an ice pack and he borrowed one of my knee braces this morning. He mentioned going to the walk-in clinic....(he is out at a client's office right now)
- We need to go out and do some shopping this afternoon. We need cat food (urgent!) and a few other things. Will see how he is doing when he gets home. I may have to go out by myself.
- I promised Joe I would make him some Italian Biscotti while I am home this week.....here it is, Friday already! I think that is on my list for today (just what we need-more goodies to eat). If my back continues to feel better, I make take down the decorations tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a good Friday! Peace, love & hugs.

You really do have a fun life! Hope all your knees get better soon!
ReplyDeleteIt is funny - - but typical of us pet owners that we end up going to the store for them when we could just put the trip off if it was for ourselves! At least a couple of times a month, I will see people in the grocery store with a big bag of dog food or cans of cat food and virtually no people food. My thought is, "Yup, been there. Done that." My decorations are almost all packed. Now for the trek up and down the basement stairs about ten times!!! Praise God for your back and hope hubby's knee heals as quickly.
ReplyDeleteDont over-do and make that back start hurting again. Sure hope Joe's knee will get better soon...best to stay off for a bit if he can. We are having a quiet day here.
ReplyDeleteGlad your back feels better and hope Joe's knee is better too. I'm happy to have my decorations up for a while yet. It means that I still have holidays.
ReplyDeleteSure hope Joe's knee feels better. Not much gong on here..glad you enjoyed your get together. Blessings
ReplyDeleteHope Joe's knee feels better. Glad your back is better. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like you two need to take it easy this weekend. Eat that biscotti and find a good movie to watch! Hoping you're both feeling much better - very soon!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! I'm all caught up with you now! I didn't reply on any of your posts, so I wanted to just say hi and I haven't forgotten you.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm just getting here to read your post. I'm glad your back feels better, but sorry to hear Joe hurt his knee. Hope you both feel better.
ReplyDeleteI've never tasted Biscotti. I hope to find one some day. They looks so good. I may try making it myself when I feel adventurous.
It sounds like you have such a wonderful circle of friends to hang out with. Wishing you the best in 2014!
ReplyDeleteIsn't getting older so much fun????? I am being sarcastic of course. A friend from Hong Kong was in church yesterday and came home for a visit. She is in her early 60's and complaining about not having the stamina she used to have.
