December 18 Hodgepodge....

Thanks to Joyce, yet again, for the thought-provoking Hodgepodge questions!  You can join in the fun HERE!!

1. Do you believe in miracles?  Yes, I most definitely do.

2. What's a recent fad you admit to trying?  I think it has been years since I followed a fad (though I DO have Crocs and still wear them!).  I actually Googled 'recent fads' and didn't even know about some of the ones that came up!  I'm too old for fads, I guess.

3. Peppermint-are you a fan? If so, what's your favorite food or beverage containing peppermint?  No. I don't like peppermint. I can eat a York Peppermint Pattie now and then, but don't like candy canes or anything peppermint flavored (or spearmint!).

4. Break the ice, on thin ice, as cold as ice (emotionally, not literally)...which phrase have you run into most recently? Explain.  I was snubbed at last week's opening reception - that was 'cold as ice'. It's all good, and I just laughed because I know the person and I know why. It's her problem, not mine.

5. Have you ever broken or spilled something in someone else's home? Still friends?  Yes, I have. Specifics don't come to mind, but I know I have, more than once.  I don't think something like that would hurt a real friendship. It wouldn't at my house, anyway. Accidents happen.

6.  'Tis the week before Christmas...are you feeling more like Buddy the Elf or the Grinch before his heart grew?  I don't think I am ever a Grinch, so I guess it is Buddy the Elf.

7. Share a favorite quote relating to Christmas.  "God bless us, everyone!"

8.  Insert your own random thought here. This is the most wonderful time of year!!  My birthday slides right into Christmas, so I always have much to celebrate and feel blessed about.  Even having lost my mom (1995), Joe's mom (1999), and my dad (1989) during the month of December, I am blessed with wonderful, warm memories of them during the holidays. Blessed, indeed.

Thanks for stopping by my page!!  I wish you a good hump day!!  Peace, love & hugs to all!

  3. As Julie said, all positive and you always seem to be. I know we all have our 'down' times, but 99% of the time, you are 'up', and I appreciate that about you. Loved your answers today.

  5. My mother passed in December too. It's interesting how loved ones seem to go around this time. And, I have yet to buy crocs but I have been tempted! They are not "in" anymore but I still see them around. Have a wonderful Christmas!

  6. I still wear Crocs too, and I like them. :) I also didn't know about some of the fads I found when I googled. Just a little behind the times, I guess. Thanks for reminding us of the blessing of Christmas.

  7. I love Christmas, too!

I am just furious that someone snubbed you! How dare they! You are the sweetest, nicest person ever. Wen I encounter things like that I always remember The Lord saying that out of the things he hates worse, the haughty eye is right up there in his Top Ten.

On a happier note, someone told me the other day how much they like you. My friend Trish. Se thinks you are super, and I do, too!

    Love you bunches...

  8. I love this time of year also! My birthday falls just after the first of the year so I don't get sad about the holidays being over until after that. :) I had to look up current fads too! LOL Snubbers. Who does that? Sheesh.

  11. My Crocs look like they've been swimming with the real ones. I really should clean them. I don't think I would have thought of looking on the internet for fads, but now I'm curious to know if I 'follow' any. I am a peppermint fan though.
