My knee still hurts today, but I'm expecting it to be much better by Friday. Cortisone takes a few days to work its magic (I hope!).
There are lots of year-end details I have to take care of at work, like insurance issues, final pay of the year, etc., etc. Trying to get it all organized.
My cousins, from Ohio, have been in touch and we have plans to have dinner at Downtown Disney on the 28th, and we will spend the day together at Legoland on the 30th. My knee better be feeling better!!
I would like to go out to dinner tonight. I'm sure Joe will be willing!
The doctor told me to try going upstairs backwards because it uses different muscles and might not hurt so much. Knowing me, I'll trip and hurt something else!! LOL
The hot, sticky weather we have been having is moving out by the weekend, so "they" say. I sure hope so!! Low 70s and no humidity sounds good to me!
I can't wait to see our grandchildren on Friday. We haven't seen Lauren since summer. She will go to graduate school here in Florida, so we will see her more often, hopefully! She might be in Tampa, at USF!!
I get my every-four-weeks facial on Thursday. I always look forward to it. Ahhhhhh.....
Everyone is bringing in cookies and candy. I have WAY too much sugar in my system these past couple of days. No will power, whatsoever!
I wish you all a good Tuesday evening and Wednesday! Hard to believe it is December 18th already. Time goes so fast that I can actually hear is whooshing by. Tell your loved ones you love them!
And here is a treat (it was for me!). My BFF, Elaine, is in the bell choir at her church, in Illinois. She sent me a video of a portion of their Christmas concert. Bell choirs always amaze me! I can't imagine hitting my notes just right every time....it really takes talent and practice to do this! Take a look, if you have time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwpxuqLT2wk&list=UUGwS6RU6j1pe4_mlKzUZYPg&ind
Peace, love & hugs!!

Sure hoping your knee is better before you go to be with your family next week. And going out to eat is a splendid idea! Enjoyed the bells and concert by Elaine's church.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda!
DeleteI liked that .... the bells and the choir has some beautiful voices in it too.
ReplyDeleteWe all hope your knee is good before you meet your cousins at Disney. It sounds like such fun.
Isn't it awful this time of year when everywhere you look there's all the delicious cookies and candy. So tempting. I have no will-power when it comes to that.
Take care.
Hope your knee feels better. I haven't started my holiday cookies. I will wait until this weekend to bake them. I have no willpower either lol
ReplyDeleteI thank you for that clip. I have been inside for 17 days now and missed our local bell choir on Saturday night. I just couldn't hobble over there even the half block in the snow on crutches. I also am missing the Jean Vanier L'
ReplyDeleteArche study for 4 Tuesdays in Advent. I am feeling out of the loop but still promised to make the cranberry sauce for the Soup's On turkey dinner this Friday. Old Man says he will take it over and deliver it. I am feeling so out of the local loop. I could hear but not go to see the Christmas train either. Praise the Lord for online shopping as that is all done.
Good morning, I came back to see if I could post on your blog today. Yes!! I can post today. Thank you for sharing the video. Beautiful singing and bell ringing. I love hearing bells at Christmas time. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for you to be pain free for Christmas! I don't know you are keeping up with everything. You are a very strong woman!
ReplyDeleteI know that year-end bookkeeping stuff oh so well..I'm dealing with that too:-) Be careful when going up the stairs backwards!! It does makes sense though..I bet it will help.
