I made it through Friday! The boss even told us to leave early today, so I was out of the building by 4:30! Nice!!
Joe and I went to Mimi's for dinner tonight. I had a FREE birthday dinner coupon! Love those! Red Lobster sent me $5.00 off for my birthday, Texas Roadhouse sent me a coupon for a free appetizer, for my birthday! It's worth signing up for the birthday bonuses!!
Then we went shopping for the last of the things we needed for Christmas. Bless Joe, he actually did the advance work by running in the stores and asking if they had any of the particular thing I was looking for. Took four stores to find what I was looking for, but we got what we needed. Done. Now I need to get things wrapped and ready to ship north. It's all falling into place.
My MRI is scheduled for next Wednesday, and the follow up appointment for the following Monday. If surgery is in my future, I hope it can wait until January. I sure don't want to spend Christmas nursing my knee. Playing the insurance game, it will also get my deductible taken care of in January and the rest of the year will be free for me.Off and running.... lots to do this weekend. Wishing you a good one!! Peace, love & hugs.
That's a good plan for possible surgery--making the most of reaching the deductible.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend! I'll be ready to ship presents north as soon as my daughter gets her annual calendar made for Grandma!
I'll be doing Christmas things this weekend too. Hope you're able to stay off your feet as much as possible. You are blessed to have Joe being your legs. Have a good Saturday.
ReplyDeleteWe went to Red Lobster yesterday for coconut shrimp. Jim had a "craving", and so glad he did! I am still praying that surgery isnt in your future, and am anxious to hear what the MRI shows...keep us posted. Have a nice Saturday.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't started shopping yet. Luckily we don't have to buy for many people. Glad you found what you were looking for. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like your new background. It's always nice to get coupons. I'm glad you had a good time. I think I missed your birthday. Not sure when it was. Happy belated birthday. Someone suggested awhile back to put our birthday in the side bar under our picture. I did it but I don't see yours.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great day.
My birthday is next Tuesday, so you didn't miss it! December 11.
DeleteI put my birthday under my photo, but no one else did, so I took it off. I will be 61 - how did I get so old?!!!! LOL
Good Luck with your MRI. I hope they don't screw you like they did me. They cheated me out of over $1,000 in extra charges the Insurance would not pay. Did I really need 5 doctors to 'claim' they read it!!????
ReplyDeleteThey surely do their best to get every penny they can. I don't mind and love my doctors, but we really have to watch the insurance companies and be proactive about making sure we get what we are paying for!!
DeleteAs I was hobbling along to get to the living room to rest and crochet on my latest prayer shawl, I started to cry. It was compassion for all those folks who would not survive in my situation. I have Blue Cross Medical coverage plus the government basic coverage, so I don't have to sell the house to pay doctor bills or just drift off and die. Even here in Canada where we have socialized medicine, the weakest drop through the cracks. It is so un-Christlike to not give a warm spot or medical help to a homeless person just because they dont' have ID or a credit card and a drivers' license # for verification. Bureauocracy is un-loving. I am coping well and warm and have loyal friends who will mop my floors but I was crying for the folk who don't have backup and support systems in place.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love the free dinner coupons for your birthday? My birthday is later this month and I have gotten a few too:-) That's great that Joe made your shopping trip easier! I have some gifts I need to ship to Illinois for my Godson. Can you believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away? Wow..time is a flying!
