It feels like a Tuesday....

Let's see if I can come up with 10 Thoughts for Tuesday:

  1. We have a Board meeting today.  I am always so happy when the Board meetings are over (around 1:00).
  2. I love, love, love our new living room furniture and how we moved the dining room around.  Our house is small, and we probably have too much furniture, but shaking things up now and then is a good thing.  I am very happy with it (and so is Joe!).
  3. I am SO off my diet - again.  Sigh.
  4. Joe got me an early birthday gift.  I had decided to get a Kindle Fire, but our techie guy (here at work) told me to get the Nexus 7 instead.  It came yesterday, and I am thrilled!!  Joe had it charging for me when I got home from work, so I was able to play right away.  It is Android, so there is not much of a learning curve, since I have an Android phone.
  5. My co-workers, here in the Administration office, and I are planning a lunch excursion in a couple of weeks.  There is a place in Lake Alfred (small town east of here) called "The Barn".  It has a huge antique warehouse, a lovely gift shop, and a very nice restaurant.  We're planning to be away for at least two hours.  It will be Claire (our boss), Maggie, Pal, Sandy, Lisa and me.  Should be fun!  The Barn is only open October - May.
  6. Joe and I are going to the Webster Flea Market on Monday (29th).  I've taken two days off (Monday and Tuesday).  Webster is only open on Mondays, and it takes hours to walk through it all.  It is fun to do once or twice a year.  I'll take some photos to share.
  7. Joe has a swallowing procedure at the VA Hospital on Tuesday (30th), so I took the day off to go over to Tampa with him.  We don't know if they will put him out for it, or not, but one way or the other, I want to be there.  He has trouble - just now and then - swallowing.  Food gets stuck and he has a terrible time.  It will be good to see what is going on.  Prayers appreciated!
  8. I am not a big baseball fan, but Lakeland is the Spring Training Home for the Detroit Tigers.  I will be cheering for them in the World Series.  Probably won't watch much, but will be happy to hear they won!
  9. I am glad the debates are over, and will be even more glad when the election is over.
  10. I wish you all a good Tuesday!!
Peace, love & hugs!!

  1. If you or Kris didnt remind me, I would never get my 10 thoughts or wordless days! I envy you the antique places...I love to wander in those type places. Will most definitely pray for a good outcome for Joe. It is so hard to get back on a diet program, once we get off. I have tried too many times to mention.

  2. I know somebody else who loves your new furniture too. LOL. He really looked a bit like a statue sitting there on the end table. Hope and pray that all goes well with Joe's swallow test.

  4. Kudos on your new furniture and re arranged living room. I really love my kindle. I have found I used the kindle app for reading on my iPad more than I use the Kindle itself. Enjoy your luncheon and don't bring too much new old stuff home from the antique barn. Hope Joe's swallowing test goes well. I was unable to swallow after my throat surgery, but fortunately regained my swallowness!

    1. Thanks, Chuck! I have loved my Kindle for three years, and have read 100 books on it (just started 101). The Nexus has so many more features, including a camera and all Google access. I'm going to love it...blogging, e-mail, facebook, pinterest...it's all there now!

  5. I like the theme days you girls have... "10 Thoughts" etc. Would you mind if I joined?
    Saying a prayer for Joe.
I've never heard of a Nexus. I hope you enjoy it. I have a Kindle Fire and I love it. It goes most everywhere with me.
    Have a good evening. ♥

  6. Please feel free to join in! It's not "ours" - we picked it up over on Multiply awhile back. I'll look forward to your post! I'm sure I would have like the Kindle Fire, too, but our techie guy always wins out when he gives us advice. Thanks for your prayers!

  7. Positive thoughts coming your way for Joes procedure. The flea market sounds like fun. I like to do those kinds of things every now and then.

  8. I was gonna ask for Kindle Fire for Christmas. I'll have to look into Nexus. Those flea markets + antique store sound fun. I love looking through them. I wish Joe luck on his procedure. Hope it's nothing serious. Keep us posted

  9. I am taking the night off to just read others' blogs. I know about that diet treadmill. The main thing is that most days you are doing OK so it will still work. I am putting off joining WW online until after the next trip to Vancouver for medical and 4 days looking after children. Then I will bite the bullet again.
