For dinner tonight, I made meatloaf - haven't had that for a very long time. Mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and corn topped it off. I made a cake on Friday, that we are still eating. Found the recipe on Pinterest. It is very, very good!! Take a box of angel food cake mix and add a 20 ounce can of pineapple (packed in juice, not syrup). Mix the two together, bake in an un-greased 9 x 13 pan at 350, for 35 minutes. That's all there is to it. No fat, not many calories, and very, very good. Give it a try!
Wishing you all a good week ahead! Peace, Love & Hugs.
I've heard that recipe before but have never tried it yet!
ReplyDeleteWell I will try that recipe if it will work in our microwave. I hate starting the propane oven to bake that long, but could do that too. I think Old Man might like this. Well he would like it better with cherries and any fruit plus a lot of cinnamon on top.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you often today as I spent hours in a museum. My oldest son is the senior programmer at the Museum of Civilization in Ottawa, actually it is in Gatineau Quebec. So after I went to church with the children and the men picked me up at the in-laws farm, I was dropped at the Museum for 5 hours of wandering and sheer delight. The 3 men went off to a vintage air show. I will eventually blog about it.
The Van Gogh exhibit was leaving but I did enjoy the new Canadian First Nations one of Bob Boyer's work.
The Mayan Exhibit has lenders precious items from the US and Mexico and all over. I spent a few hours there learning about the old temples.
I loved their childrens' section, which was very large and meandering. It had so many places to do play and imaginative stuff from around the world.
If you ever need an excuse to do a learning conference, you might want to visit this museum. I like the mixture of art and history and geography and interactive things along the way with seating of us older folk. But all the seating has something to learn if you push a button. I will blog about it all later with some pictures.
