Actually, this Monday turned out pretty good. I got a lot done at work today. A productive Monday will make the rest of the week go much more smoothly. Yay!
I'm going out to lunch with my friends, Helen and Cheryl, on Wednesday. Cheryl was away for the summer, so I haven't seen her for months. It's always good to get out of the office. I usually eat at my desk, so getting out is always a treat.
Friday evening is an Opening Reception for the Museum's main gallery exhibit. It is called Invisible Elephant, and is a collaboration between two amazing artists, Kirk Ke Wang and Theo Wujcik. Check out my Polk Museum of Art page, tabbed above, to learn more about it. Our opening receptions are always a good time. Both artists will be speaking, followed by the reception, with good food and time to spend with friends.
Nothing planned for the weekend so far, so I will just cruise through the week and Friday will be here before we know it.

Glad you made it through today and it wasnt wild! You have so much going on there, I cant keep up...maybe I need a program...lol I know you enjoy spending time with friends, and hey, a free weekend (so far) is always a plus!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than a productive Monday! Good for you! I am off to check out the exhibit! Have a great week, Terri!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have your job! The Invisible Elephant exhibit sounds so awesome! Putting new exhibits aside, how often do you walk around the museum and take in all the art that is at your finger tips? Is it something that you are so used to or does it never get old to you?
ReplyDeleteKris, I walk through a couple of times a week. There are two galleries upstairs that I walk through everyday, to get to my office. It is an amazing place to work, and I never take it for granted!
DeleteI know you will enjoy lunch with your friends. My week is off to a great start, as John will be coming back into town later, and we get to babysit baby Joey til next Monday. Wishing the museum much success with the exhibit.

The weather makes me sleepy... or maybe it was shoveling all that gravel this weekend. I got more done than I thought I would including a dead to the world nap. Amazing how those sneak up on you and you are down for the count. LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
ReplyDeleteMy Monday was pretty good until the evening when our internet went out, probably due to the rain. Before that, we had visited the Creation Museum in Kentucky.
ReplyDeleteIs there a place in Blogger to look for new contacts to invite? I picked up a few on Multiply that looked interesting so I invited them. Others sent me invitations and some I accepted. I can't seem to find a search place here.
