Take a look at the dress and tell us which shoes you think would complement the look.
It's all for fun and just a whimsical thing.
The photos are from The Storybook of Dreams and Beauty.
This dress was intriguing to me because of the decorations. I don't think all that work is appliqué, but rather true needlework. What do you think? It looks very heavy to me. Count down on the shoes 1-2-3 and tell us which ones you like best for this dress.

My thoughts: A beautiful dress, but not one I would choose to wear. It looks heavy and hot to me, but the needlework is beautiful. Do you think it is machine done by computer, done by hand, or just applied? I have no idea about how something that intricate is done. As for the shoes, my eye keeps going to #3 to carry on with the lacey look. What are your thoughts?
Peace and Hugs!
What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

There is no picture!!!! Help!!!
ReplyDeleteTry refreshing you screen. The picture is here.
DeleteStill nothing!
DeleteI can't see the picture either. I refreshed it but nothing. :(
ReplyDeleteThat dress is beautiful. I love the colour. The detail on it is stunning but even so I don't think I would choose to wear it. I think with a dress like that you need shoes with detail on them like the 3rd one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress
ReplyDeleteHow strange - I can't see the picture of the dress either and where there should be shoes there's just a box saying "may be a picture of shoes"!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that some can see the photo and others can't. I don't know what to do to fix it. Will try a refresh on my screen.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is certainly different; I can't decide if it's something I'd wear. Like you, I'm leaning towards Pair #2.
ReplyDeleteI agree with #3!
ReplyDeleteThe picture is not working, Terri, even after I refresh my screen. I love the hymn you are sharing. Your blog background is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have no earthly idea how the fancy part of the dress was made, either, Terri, but I agree that it looks too warm to wear comfortably. #3 shoes for me, too. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI have to be honest - not my favorite dress. But I like shoe number 1 for it.
ReplyDeleteI can't see the dress or shoes so for this week, I will just send a hello!
ReplyDeleteJust from the picture it's hard to tell if the work is by machine or hand. It's very pretty but I also think it might be heavy and hot. With the dress being so ornate I think I would go simple with the shoes, so I picked shoe #1. But I though about #3♥
ReplyDeleteI wonder why some can see the picture and some of us can't. I wonder what would happen if you reposted the picture and updated your post? That's a lot of bother, but it's very strange that it worked out this way today! I still can't see it.
ReplyDeleteI did that earlier, Pam. Don't know why it is being so particular. I will email you the picture so you can at least see it. It is quite interesting!
DeleteLike some of your other readers, I can't see the dress, either. Left your blog and came back to it, but still it wasn't there.
