Day 2, And The Fun Continues...

I did take a notebook with me, and my intention was to write things down each night so I would remember names, places, and feelings...

Right.  So, since that didn't happen, I am using my pictures and the clothes I wore each day to separate the experiences.  To my dear hosts/hostesses... please forgive me for errors in names and places.  What I won't forget are the great times and the good feelings that still fill my heart.

Some of you "up north" have shopped at Meijer's grocery stores.  I have been to one of the stores when visiting family in Ohio.  Well, Mari and Bob took me to one of the top ten most amazing places I've ever been. There are acres and acres of beautiful gardens, full of flowers, plants, sculptures, water features for kids, and on and on and on.  Oh my gosh... go there if you are ever in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Better yet, make it a destination and do it!  Check out THIS LINK for more information than I can put here!

We rode the trolley through the sculpture gardens.

I was watching for an Albert Paley sculpture and thought this might be one when we were getting closer, but it is not by him (can't remember the name on the sign 😞).

A Dale Chihuly "chandelier" hanging in one of the buildings.

We went to dinner at one of their favorite restaurants...

It was a surprise to find Bob's brother and sister-in-law there, celebrating her birthday!
I got to meet them, too! (That's his brother in the red checkered shirt.)
The food was delicious!

And we popped in on another daughter & son-in-law, and
I got to meet Cassie and Connor!!
Two more sweet grandchildren!!

It was such a great day!

------------------------------------------------------------

I'm off to church today, but I did my laundry yesterday! LOL
I also went to Publix for milk, salad stuff, etc.
My neighbor, Anne, came over to chat for an hour or so.

Instead of laundry, I'll be doing some cleaning when I get home.
I wasn't at home for two weeks, but the cats kept shedding!

Peace and Hugs!

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!

My husband got me started on journals for vacations. It is such a good idea. You have it here at your blog now, so it is recorded. Have a great day!
