The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Joyce is our hostess!  Thank you, Joyce, for the weekly fun!  Be a Hodgepodger HERE.

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 541

From this Side of the Pond

1. Has March come in like a lion where you live?  No.   If not a lion then what animal would you use to describe the weather in your area this first week of March?  March came in like a lamb for us here in central Florida.  Does the weather affect your emotions?  Not my emotions, but when I hear the rain in the morning I really just want to snuggle back under the covers.  The sound of a steady rain on the roof is somehow relaxing to me.  When did you last feel 'under the weather'?   If the reference is for sickness, I have not been sick for many months (thanking Jesus and knocking on wood, too).  If the reference is for weather... hurricane Idalia, last year.  We who live in manufactured homes, in Florida, tend to be just a little anxious when a hurricane is coming our way.

2. Do you know what your name means?  No. I had to look it up.  Does the meaning of your name fit with your personality?  It made me giggle.  Still not sure what it means!  Do you like your name?  Terri is okay but I have never liked Teresa.   If you have children did you consider the meaning of their names before choosing them?  Not applicable for me.  My boys were already named and were 16 and 20 when we were joined as family.  They stood up with their dad for our wedding... two best men.

Terri is a christian girl name and it is an English originated name with multiple meanings. Terri name meaning is harvester and the associated lucky number is 7.

Origin: Greek. Meaning: Summer; To harvest. Long-held as the personification of virtue, Teresa is a feminine name that reflects warmth and restorative nourishment.

3. It's National Sauce Month...what's your favorite sauce?  I guess I should say spaghetti sauce (called gravy in our house) but I also love a creamy alfredo sauce.  Last thing you ate that used a sauce?  Some fettuccini with alfredo sauce.

4. Something you've seen, tasted, done lately that you'd describe as 'awesome sauce'?   I've been eating a lot of fresh strawberries lately.  Awesomely good!

5. What kinds of things do you love to collect?  Nothing anymore because it gets to be too much.  I have lots of cat things, and most all of the newer things have been gifts.  I don't buy collectables anymore.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  I'm getting ready to have heads in beds this Friday and son Jeff arrives Sunday afternoon.  He will be here through Friday!  I am so looking forward to family fun!!  I got a card yesterday from my penpal, Maya.  She wrote in her own hand writing that she can't wait to give me a hug and to meet the cats!!  Fills my heart!!

Peace and Hugs!!

He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing

  2. I just had pasta with Alfredo a few days ago too. Good stuff!
I know you love those letters from Maya, and seeing her in person will be so sweet!
Your term heads in the bed made me laugh. It's going to be a good weekend.

  3. We're taking my mother-in-law out for a birthday dinner this weekend and they make the pasta inside a wheel of cheese. It is sooo good! Very much like an alfredo sauce. Enjoy your company!

  4. Like Mari, your phrase "looking forward to having heads in beds" made me smile. I'm gonna remember that!

I LOVE alfredo sauce, but it does not love me. We just had spaghetti and meatballs yesterday. I have a really scrumptious meatball recipe. I do have a good sauce recipe too, but yesterday I used Rao's Marina sauce, which in my opinion is the best you can buy.

How nice it will be to have Jeff at home for five days!

  5. I have to say I like red sauce not to crazy about Alfredo sauce.
I don't think we had a winter this year here.
    Love strawberries.
I don't collect anymore either! You just have to get rid of it - no one wants it!

  7. I enjoyed the most awesome Alfredo sauce over chicken recently. Had we not been in public (Olive Garden), I might have licked the plate. LOL.
'Still trying to purge our unnecessary 'stuff' -- yet I struggle not to buy a cute coffee mug every now and then.
