On Friday, I met up after work with Al and Theresa for some lunch. We met at Romeo's Italian Restaurant which is one of their favorites. I didn't take a picture - what's wrong with me?! Here is an old photo, also of us eating out. Eating out is a thing with us. I have at least a dozen photos of us sitting at tables! LOL Al and I worked together at the Museum and they moved to Mas Verde when they retired. I had spaghetti with meat sauce and a salad. Al had an eggplant sub with a salad, and Theresa had stuffed shells. We enjoyed our meals and the catch-up time. They will go to Tampa for Thanksgiving with their daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons.
On Saturday, I drove down to Punta Gorda to have lunch with my granddaughter, Lauren, and her new beau, Jeremy. We had a very nice visit and I really like Jeremy. They make a sweet couple!
As usual, the food at The Captain's Table was delicious. I had the coconut-crusted mahi that came with rice and steamed veggies. Lauren had shrimp, and Jeremy had a crab-cake "burger". We were all happy with our meals. When we left the restaurant, we walked through the shops on the way back to the parking lot. Lauren said it all when she said we didn't have long enough. Grandson Tristan will be home for Christmas and we hope we can work it out to connect again when he is home. Tristan is working in New York City right now.
I went to Sunday school and church yesterday. It was our communion Sunday. I do love my church and church family. When I got home, I did my usual two loads of laundry and mapped out all I have to do this week to prepare for company next Monday. Cleaning, grocery shopping, bed making... etc.
Today, Casper goes to the Vet for blood work. He is fine (normal eating, peeing, pooping, and sleeping) and I want the Vet to tell me he is fine. If he can extract the bad tooth, it needs to be done. Stay tuned...
I am taking my cat-sitter out for an early supper. We are going to Cheddar's (her choice). Mary Jane doesn't want to be paid or have a gift card but she does enjoy going out to eat, so that is my thank-you for watching the cats. She will be cat-sitting again, over Thanksgiving.
That's enough for this recap. Thanks for checking in and wishes for a blessed week ahead!
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?

Yum! It looks like y'all picked a perfect day to enjoy one another's company ... I'm just surprised it doesn't look like there were that many people at Fisherman's Wharf. Cross fingers for a good vet report!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice weekend. Hope the visit to the vet goes ok.

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week already. Time is flying much too quickly. bye for now.
