Spring
Hello and welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
1. Spring cleaning is a very old tradition. Some say it began with Passover and removing leaven from the home and the fact that windows begin to be thrown open. What Spring cleaning do you do? LOL (really laughing out loud!)
2. Does daylight saving time make any difference in your life for good or bad? I don't like it at all and wish they would leave it standard time and be done with this folly.
3. Do you have a spring reading/watch list or perhaps a 'to-do' list? I don't have a reading list or a watch list. I probably should have a "to-do" list though, to actually get some things done that need doin'.
4. The "peepers" are back here by the water. There are thousands of these itty bitty frogs (the size of a fingernail) peeping like loud birds. What signs of spring are showing up in your neck of the woods and what Spring flower is your favorite to see blooming? Spring in Florida starts in February and the strawberries are always front and center! I am not a flower/plant person but do love the beautiful flowering trees. They are all gone now but were so beautiful...
Crepe Myrtles...

Thank you for the early morning chuckles. We had a crepe myrtle that my mother bought from my aunts nursery in Virginia. She said it wouldnt grow in NJ but it did! I have never seen Poinciana. Its so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I so enjoy here in the Northeast... the ritual of the various spring flowers who never forget to make their entrance one by one. A reminder of our blessings.
ReplyDeleteStrawberries! Yum. I forgot they'll be in now. I do like 'em and they are keto (low in sugar/carbs). Our Crepe Myrtles aren't blooming yet in Southeast Georgia. They'll be showy soon too. Sweet post. I hope your day is pleasant and easy. Blessings. xx
ReplyDeleteThe strawberries are so delicious...I am eating some now! Enjoy your day! Happy spring!
ReplyDeleteHello Terri: I do spring clean and fall clean everything, daylight savings time I think its a waste of time, No sprig here still about two feet of snow on the ground, I am a gardener, love flowers and plants.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Catherine
You made me laugh. And I am so done with any type of gardening...although as an adult, I've never done too much of that anyway. lol
ReplyDeleteSpring cleaning? What's that? LOL!
ReplyDeleteTerri, you already know how I feel about the time change - ugh.
Blessings!
I thank God too for those things.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the time change.
I like your way of having NO LISTS!
I bet spring is gorgeous there.
Right there with you about flowers/plants that require my attention! I want to be like another blogger who -- instead of a 'to-do' list -- makes a Possibilities List.
ReplyDeleteI try to keep things clean routinely and don't do Spring cleaning.
ReplyDeleteI agree on the time change!
I do have a regular cleaning routine that I TRY to keep up with so there isn't as much deep cleaning. I don't care which time they choose, but leave it alone. Changing it drives me nutty for weeks after either change.
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying the strawberries this year as well, even if I do have to buy them at Publix. I prefer to get them at a farmstand where I know they came straight from the farms, but we are too far north in Florida to get many of those. But the Publix berries are from your area and they are very good. Yes, spring has already sprung in Florida, and this week we had a little taste of winter all over again! It can't seem to make up its mind. I agree about DST, etc. Leave it alone one way or the other. I had to do some spring cleaning because we had company coming to use the guest room. I don't get company overnight as often as you seem to, so I bet your house stays cleaner than mine. LOL Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteI make a cleaning list and cross things off as I do them. It actually makes me want to do them so I can cross them off...hahahaha
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to be able to plant some flowers. I do not plant flowers until May here in Missouri. Loved your answers! Have a nice week. ♥

I wish I could be a good gardener of plants and fruit! I am not! :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers. Laughed at your laugh out loud to the first questiono.
