Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 473
We're back! Here are the questions to this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge. Answer on your own blog then hop back here tomorrow to share answers with the universe. See you there!
1. August is National Back To School Month...how does that make you feel? Share a back-to-school memory. School started last week, here in Lakeland. The traffic is heavier and you really need to know which route to take that doesn't pass a school between 2:30 and 3:30 or you will get stuck waiting on pick-up lines in front of the schools. It can be awful (and worse for the people waiting, I'm sure)! Here is a first day of school photo I enjoy... me, starting 5th grade with my brother who was starting 1st grade.
2. Something you've learned in 'the school of life'? That God is in control so pay attention and let Him lead. Someday we will understand.
3. Three words to describe your current mood. Tired. My new cat, Casper, is quite talkative and has been very vocal two mornings in a row at around 4:00 a.m. Not sure what that is about but I tried ignoring him yesterday. We'll see how it goes.
4. A summer food you've eaten too much of/are tired of? A summer food you haven't had enough of? I haven't had too much of any summer food and am always happy for more watermelon, corn-0n-the-cob, or fresh fruit!
5. What small stuff do you sweat that you know you shouldn't? The only thing I can think of is public speaking and I avoid it at all costs.
6. Insert your own random thought here. Not really random, but just an update on Casper. He is doing fine and is exploring every nook and cranny in the house. His safe spot is still under my bed, but he is venturing out more often and I am moving his food bowls closer to where I want his food to be (with Vinny's). He has begun to use Vinny's litter box instead of his that they brought with him. I will make it go away eventually. He only used it once yesterday. Getting there!

I wonder if my previous comment will show up. I just realized that somehow I was on the "cutest blog" site for you, not sure how that happened, and I couldn't see anything but one line of my comment at a time, and no where to hit "publish". So, if you get two comments from me, it is because the first one went through but I couldn't tell if it did or not so I am trying again. I am happy for Casper and you and Vinny to be getting along so well. Praying it continues to be that way. He is a very blessed kitty to have been found by you! I will stop now as I feel like I already wrote you a book on my other comment that went away to who knows where? LOL. Have a blessed and wonderful rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteYes, someday we will understand. I can't tell you how many times I've repeated that to myself this last year. I don't consider myself a seasonal eater, but I can't wait for the 'ber' months when I eat hearty soups/stews to my heart's content. Have a blessed day, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like your new kitty may be a morning person.. Oh boy... :)
ReplyDeleteI always wonder what my cat is trying to tell us!!
ReplyDeleteCute picture. I could use some more watermelon and tomatoes! Yum
ReplyDeleteI do love nothing better than fresh corn on the cob! I'm glad Casper is still progressing in the right direction; makes it so much easier on you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
Our kitty we savedhad kitten under my sons bed. What a cute school picture we started school Monday. Have a great ☺️ week.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your kitty is settling in. I feel like kids today are taught public speaking beginning in much earlier grades than we ever were. In general they seem more confident. Have a great rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the updates on Casper. Sounds like he's making progress - except for the early morning talks. What is he thinking?! lol
ReplyDeleteI'm glad things are going well with Casper. I hope he settles down for you in the wee hours of the morning. I'd love to let Jasper cuddle at night but he wakes us up ever single night so I have to put up a gate to keep him out. So as soon as he hears me moving about in the morning he is at the door meowing for all he is worth. Then it's all I can do to walk to let the dog out and get their morning food ready as he's right between my feet the whole way. He's been stepped on a lot but it doesn't discourage him at all. It worries me, though. I just know he's going to trip me one of these days.
