Oh my goodness, I ate entirely too much yesterday but don't regret a bite! LOL As mentioned before, my boss and his wife invited me to join them for the day. I contributed pumpkin bread and a Jiffy corn casserole. My boss's sister, a nephew and his wife, and one of his daughters were there too. I felt right at home and welcomed. It was lovely. I didn't take pictures of the people but did capture my plate full of goodness. They served dinner outside. The weather was just beautiful at 76° and could not have been better for an outside celebration of giving thanks!
At work on Monday, one of the guys noticed a red-shouldered hawk hanging around on a wire outside the office. I went out to take some pictures. He posed for a while but I got too close and he flew off. So majestic.
It is right beside the office so I took the picture when I was looking at the hawk.
My dermatology appointment went well.
The doctor didn't find anything else to biopsy or be concerned about.
lakes to create a place for little fish, etc. Here is a closer look at them.
I will be getting the Christmas decorations out this weekend. Happy my sister is coming!! I didn't intend to put a tree up or do too much but now I am motivated to be a bit more festive. I gave away the pencil tree I had for the last two years so I bought a little table-top tree for this year. I think it will be perfect going forward. Pictures next week!!
Jesus is the reason for the season!
It was perfect weather for sitting outside yesterday! I'm glad you had such a nice day. I love seeing the trees that go in the water...how interesting! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt was beautiful weather for Thanksgiving this year and I am so happy you had a place celebrate. I think a tabletop tree will be perfect for you. I think it will bring you joy without too much trouble. A hawk is a good sighting and always worth the pause.
ReplyDeleteI was gonna decorate more today but we're decorating at the Church instead. I don't mind. Many hands make light work.
ReplyDeleteThose "tree's" will work nicely. We used to fish often. Sometimes I miss it.
Well, gotta go. I enjoyed your photos. Glad you're doing OK.
Blessings. xx
That was quite the feast, Terri! We ate too much yesterday, that'll for sure. Still will grands so with stop by when I can. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a great Thanksgiving!! One of mother's physical therapists was from Ocala. I told him I had several friends in that part of Florida. He said he moved to North Ga to enjoy the seasons.
ReplyDeleteI think I see yams/Sweet potatoes with marshmellows! Always my contribution!! :) Glad you had a good day though I am sure it was hard in many ways.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spread! So glad your sis will be joining you -- there's always something to look forward to, isn't there? I look forward to seeing your table-top tree!
ReplyDeleteOh that food all looks so good! And it was a beautiful day to be outside, but we ate inside. I haven't had the energy to clean the tables on the porch yet...LOL. Better excuse than none! Love that you have good people to work with and that they have included you in their "family". Love the pictures of nature that you are able to see at work too. And I am so glad your sister is coming for Christmas! That will make it really special for both of you. Yes, by all means decorate!! Take care my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt sounded like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving at your boss' home. The hawk is a handsome animal; glad you were able to snap its pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice day yesterday. I can't imagine Thanksgiving dinner outside!
ReplyDeleteHawks really are majestic.
I'm getting ready to decorate the tree.
Those underwater "trees" for the fish are very interesting.
ReplyDeleteYour dinner plate looks wonderful. I see your green beans were not in the traditional casserole. Nor were mine.
Looks like a really great feast and outside too!! Just like the pilgrims. Glad to hear your dermatology report and also your sister is coming. That’s so good!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful outdoor feast! I just love how your boss’s family includes you!
