The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Thanks to our hostess, Joyce, for today's Hodgepodge!  You can join in HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 441

Welcome to another week in the Wednesday Hodgepodge. Lea over at Cici's Corner recently prompted me to look back at my first Hodgepodge post and I discovered the date of that first post was this very week in the year 2010. It doesn't feel like that long ago but blogs don't lie. They might exaggerate at times, but they don't lie ha!

I thought it might be fun this week to repeat some of those same questions. When I started the HP I asked seven questions adding a space in #8 for your own random thought. Thinking about that now I don't know how I kept up the pace. I was smarter then, I guess lol.

I downsized to five questions in May of 2017 before calling it quits in September of 2018. It was becoming more of a chore than a fun mid-week break and the timing felt right. I brought it back in the early days of the pandemic (remember when it was 'early days'???) and we're still at it. In more ways than one, but that's a post for a different day.

I still enjoy this little weekly random, so keeping it going until I don't. Thank you for sticking with it, re-joining, or landing here for the first time ever. Here we go-

From this Side of the Pond
1. How did you name your blog and do you now wish you had thought about it maybe another five minutes before hitting publish? Would you change your blog title if it were not a huge pain in the derriere?  When I moved to Blogger from Multiply, I had no idea what to call my blog.  Your Friend From Florida just popped in and it still says it all, I think.  I wouldn't change it now and I love that I have met so many of you in person.  I am your friend from Florida!!

2. What bill do you least like to pay?  All of the TV channels. I don't have cable but do have Netflix, Hulu, HBOMAX, etc., etc.  Why??!!  I am not ready to unplug.

3. What is your favorite word? Okay okay, calm down. How about one of your favorite words?  Blessed.

4. Is the glass half full or half-empty? Elaborate. The glass is always half full if not all the way full!  See #3 above. I am so blessed. Blessed by the Holy Spirit and blessed by family and friends.

5. Were you here for that very first Hodgepodge post? If so, were your answers then similar to what they are today? Tell us what was happening in your life in November of 2010? Joyce, I was not participating then because I didn't get to Blogger until 2012. When I did find your Hodgepodge, I was sure my answers would be boring (maybe they are!)! LOL  I read the answers other people wrote and thought I could never answer the questions in an interesting way.  I think I got brave and finally "signed on" to be a regular Hodgepodger in June 2013. My answers wouldn't change much at all.  In November 2010 we attended the wedding of our friends' daughter.  Those pictures are the only ones in my photos from November 2010.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  If you didn't see my post yesterday, I just want to say again how blessed I am to have a job with such great people around me!  My boss and his wife have invited me for Thanksgiving dinner with their family and I can work four days with five hours so I can have Thanksgiving Day off!!  I am in negotiations with Mrs. Boss about what I am bringing to contribute. Did I mention how blessed I am?

Peace & hugs!

  2. That is so great that you will not be alone on Thanksgiving. A close friend of mine just lost her husband to Covid and Joe and I are having her over on Thanksgiving so that she won't be alone. People are so kind. Loved your answers. I'm plugged into all the extra TV channels too.

  8. Aw, I think your answers to these Q-and-A's are perfect! Love that photo of you and Joe; that's a gorgeous dress. Tom is (dare I say) a movie addict; I'm think any distraction of that sort can't be a bad thing.

  9. Your blog name is perfect for you. I hate paying our cable bill. I keep trying to get Jeff to cut the cable but he is hesitant to do it. I think we could get by with way less. He wants convenience but that cable bill is $235 a month. I get indigestion each month when I hit submit on that payment:)

    1. We cut the cable and got HULU. It saves over $80 a month for the same channels and more.
