Tuesday 4...

 Tuesday 4

Wondering..,

Welcome back to Tuesday 4 where we remember the wonderful memes of our friend Toni Taddeo by continuing them on in her memory.  I am glad you've stopped by to join in.

To begin 2021 I thought I would re-post the final Tuesday 4 from Toni, posted on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019! Enjoy playing along with friends.

A Repeat ~ Just Wondering

1.   When was the last time you tried something new?:  Gosh, it's been so long I can't even remember!

2.   Who in your family do you compare yourself to?:  I don't compare myself to anyone in my family or elsewhere.  Once someone told me I remind them of my mom and that made me happy.  She was an amazing woman who I could never rise to but having a little of her recognized in me is a blessing.

3.   What lesson in life did you learn the hard way?:  There are too many to enumerate but praise God I am here!

4.   What can you do today that you weren't able to do before?:  I guess I can let things go more easily here in my advanced and retired age. You learn what is important and it's the simpler things.

Thanks to Annie for today's questions! You can join in right HERE.

Peace & hugs!  Jesus loves you!!

  1. These were some tough questions! But it's good to have to stop and think now and then, and evaluate where we've been and what we've accomplished, with God's help! I think the new thing you tried to do was RETIRE! That was something new for each of us, and it doesn't always come easy! Learning to live on less $$, adapting to new routines and being home with our spouse all the time...those are challenging events in our lives! Thankfully you and I both have been blessed with good spouses to be at home with! God is good!!

  4. One thing I have learned is that my children cannot learn from my mistakes. They each have to make their own mistakes in order to learn. I do not like that but that is life it seems.

  8. Comparison is a deadly practice, Terri, so I'm glad you don't engage in it. Yes, being older and retired, it's much easier to roll with the punches.
    Blessings!

  10. I feel the same way, when someone compares me to my sweet mother. I'll never measure up; but lately, when 'stuff' happens to loosen my lips, I repeat to myself, "What would momma do?".

  11. I enjoyed your answers, Terri! There really isn't any point to comparing ourselves to others, is there? We might see little things that are the same or similar, but who wants to be just like someone else? Those life lessons are always easier in the rearview mirror. Sigh. Have a nice evening, Terri!

  13. After retirement you have more time to remember your life's journey, seeing along the way it really was the simplest things that brought the most pleasure. Now there is time to enjoy those simple pleasures.

  17. Terri,

Sorry for being so late to visit. Incidentally, It looks like you have a spammer (Rose Mile) commenting. I enjoyed reading your responses. I found as I get older things aren't nearly as complicated as they once seemed. You do learn how to see through the muck and know how to better prioritize or discount only those things that are truly worry worthy. Not that I like to worry but you get what I mean. :) I was wondering, there aren't any Tuesday 4 for tomorrow. Does this mean this is ending? Thanks and have a good evening!
