Sunday Stealing...

Thanks to Bev for today's questions!  You can join in right HERE.

The end of the year

First things first, did you have a good year?  Certainly not the best but it wasn't the
worst. We are blessed being retired and not losing jobs or businesses.

What was your favorite article of clothing this year?  Like always - capris and a
t-shirt.

What song sums up this year for you?  How about this one...

What was your favorite movie of the year?  We didn't watch many movies. Can't
even think of one other than the old Christmas movies that we watched over the
 holidays.

Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year?  Nope.

Favorite new TV show?  Right now we are marathoning 'New Tricks' on Netflix.

Did you make any big permanent changes this year?  No.

What was one nice thing you did for yourself?  I got my 2nd new knee in May!!

Did you develop a new obsession?  We became more obsessed with marathoning
shows on Netflix & Amazon.

Did you move?  Nope.

Did you get a pet?  Nope.

Do you regret not doing anything?  I regret that we didn't get to go somewhere
special for our 35th wedding anniversary, but staying home kept us healthy.  We can always go somewhere later.

Do you regret doing something?  No.

Did anyone/thing make you so mad it stayed with you for days?  No.  One thing
made me sad, but not mad.

Did you lose anyone close to you?  Yes, we lost Joe's brother, my brother-in-law,
my cousin, and a dear friend.

Who was important to you this year but wasn’t important last year?  Can't think of
anyone new. I guess it could be our new neighbors, Chuck & Susan. I'm sure they
will be wonderful neighbors and look forward to getting to know them better.

Who wasn’t as important to you this year as they were last year?  All of my friends
and family are important to me.

What was the best moment of the year for you?  Getting elective surgeries re-opened
and getting my knee done.

What was the worst?  Losing our loved ones mentioned above.  Nick, Bruce, Vicki, and
Tom.

What have you learned about yourself this year that you didn’t know in the years
prior?
That I can be a bigger slug than I ever imagined!

What do you wish for others for the coming year?  Peace, good health, and love.

What do you wish for yourself?  Peace, good health, and love.

  1. Thank you for the good wishes of "peace, good health, and love". That sounds pretty good to me! And I wish it back to you as well! Yes, it was a difficult year for many of us. Losing loved ones and friends makes it especially hard. My heart goes out to those who have been "left behind", who now have to pick up the pieces and move forward into the new year with unexpected challenges and grief. May the Lord bless them with His peace and love and comfort. Yes, "Jesus loves you, this I know!" I love that! Happy New Year my dear friend in Florida!

  2. What great answers. 2020 was certainly not the best year of my life, but I have had other years which were very much worse. I am a homebody so it doesn't bother me having to stay at home at all. Still, I wish I could travel a tiny bit to see friends and perhaps go to a restaurant with them. Take care and may 2021 be a wonderful year for you

  10. Not many movies interest me these days. Although, there are some great old movies we like to watch. One of our cable channels had a John Wayne marathon and I think we watched them all at least once, a few twice!! Hope you get to enjoy your new neighbors soon, this staying in is beginning to get old, very old. Mr D and I celebrated our 58th anniversary watching John Wayne, it was great.
