Coronavirus
Questions
Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World"... Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The
Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the
blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most
interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!
1. Has the COVID-19 affected your work environment? I am retired, but the museum where I worked has closed. Thankfully, all of the employees are being paid.
2. How are you feeling about the Coronavirus? I still feel like it has been blown up bigger than it is.
3. Has anybody you know been tested/have you? No, and no one I know is sick.
4. Do you have any friends stuck in any exotic locations? No.
5. Have you changed any of your personal habits due to the pandemic? Only those we don't have a choice in. Businesses closed where I usually visit. We aren't eating out as much.
6. What is the craziest thing you've seen or heard about the outbreak? I think 75% of what we hear or read is crazy. Better safe than sorry, but there is a lot of over-kill out there.
7. Do you think our politicians are doing enough to curb the crisis? Let's don't even go there.
8. Have you stockpiled anything because of the crisis? No. Trying to be sensible.
9. What do you think you will miss the most if you are subject to a lock-in? Friends & family.
10. What is the weirdest rumor you've heard about the virus? It is all pretty weird.
11. Do you have a favorite meme about the virus? There have been many funny ones.
12. Has the virus made you grateful for anything? I am grateful that we live in America.
13. Have any of your plans been upset by the outbreak? We didn't get to see our grandson last weekend.
14. Are you planning to do anything differently because of the COVID-19 outbreak? We are just trying to be good citizens and be safe.
15. What do you hope to see in six months' time? That we are back to normal and that our flu vaccine will include C-19 in the Fall.
16. Has the Coronavirus upset your mental health in any way? No. It's sure not worth worrying about. God is in control and knows the outcome already.

If anyone wants to delve into some extensive information about this disease, this link was provided by a person I respect (who is in the insurance business). If you make it to the end, I found the data provided to be somewhat comforting. We have all been somewhat duped and here are some numbers that validate that. Click HERE for Evidence Over Hysteria. The biggest one is that children are less likely to be exposed in school than they are at home.
Thanks for your visit.
I know many of you are missing church services, just like we are.
We will be listening through Facebook.
Peace & hugs! Remember that God is in control!

I agree with your thoughts and responses on this. However, we are doing our best to do what is right for the sake of everyone around us. We will miss church today and next week, but I hope that will be it. Praying we'll be back before Easter! I pray for our President as he is doing the very best he can under very difficult circumstances. It's one of those (excuse my language) "damned if you do and damned if you don't" situations, and if he is erring, it is on the side of caution and protection of our citizens, because he really has been given no other choice. Let's just pray this is over quickly. I feel so badly for people who are being affected economically...no work, no pay. That is very hard on people. We are blessed to have a 'fixed income', even though small, it is consistent. The important thing is to pray, and trust God to take care of the rest.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%!
DeleteI read your response and couldn't have said it better.
DeleteSo far my son + hubby are still working. Everyday new places close so it's very scary not knowing if + how long their jobs will be open.
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
Without reading that, I can tell you with utmost certainty we are being "had"...all folks have to do (since folks have so much free time now, grin) is internet searches etc...and not talking tin foil stuff either.
ReplyDeleteANYWAYS, where was I? Have a great day, friend, waving to Joe. smiles
Not working for me today either. Perhaps it has been taken down. I'll go to the source and see if it is still there.
DeleteP.S. the link isn't working, smiles
ReplyDeleteIt is no longer available. Too much truth, perhaps.
DeleteI won't comment on these answers today because we all have our opinions.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Sunday.
I agree Terri, Be a good citizen, dont hoard groceries, be kind to others and PRAY for an end to this virus.
ReplyDeleteIn spite of some folks saying those (funny) memes are disrespectful, I love having an opportunity to laugh. As often happens, our views mirror one another … but this morning I was feeling unusually fearful. So thanks for your booster shot of reason. :)
ReplyDeletePS - I, too, could not get that link to work. I'll try back later this afternoon!
I just can't get over this whole situation. I wish I could read your link, but someone has gotten to it and it is gone. Loved your answers! Have a nice day!

The link is gone now. Too much good information probably. There were graphs and lots of data. So sorry it is gone.
DeleteWe watched our church service on Facebook, too, Terri. Yes, I agree, I think this disease has been hyped in ways it probably shouldn't be, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. We are staying put!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sunday!
I agree. Doing our best to be good citizens!!
DeleteGreat answers Terri! Mr D and I are riding out the storm as best we can, certainly no hoarding or over buying. Staying home and being thankful we have a home. Hope you and Joe stay well.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is such a hard one and I can't wait to go and read the link and what it has to say. Happy isolation and may it end soon!!!
