1. Howdy Hodgepodgers. It's kind of fun to be back, isn't it? YES!! The last time we met was September 2018. Tell me something big-important-happy-or sad that's happened in your life since that date. Just one thing. We don't know how long this current isolation situation is going to last and we might need to dole out our news bit by bit.
Just one?... I had a successful knee replacement in August 2019.
2. Might as well get this out of the way early on...COVID-19. On a scale of 1-5 how serious are you about keeping your distance? Explain. fyi-I didn't create the scale but have seen it several places online. Also fyi-we won't only have virus-related questions each week, but for this first one it feels right.
1-Not
at all, living normally
2-Cautious
but still going out
3-Going
out as needed, mostly home or working from home, still seeing friends/family
4-Extremely
limited, only going out when unavoidable, minimal contact with people
5-Full
lockdown, no one in or out
Joe and I are being cautious, using common sense, and are somewhere between 3 and 4. We are limiting being with others and stay as far away as we can. No hugging. :(
3. Raise your hand if you think you might run out of steam in the cooking department before it's all said and done? I HAVE run out of steam! LOL
What's something delicious you've
cooked or eaten in your own kitchen in the past week?
Joe grilled steaks last week that were delicious! We are eating at home more, but have ordered take-out a few times just because we don't want businesses to close! Doing our part! I made ham and scalloped potatoes one night that was very good.
4. What's a television show or movie you've seen recently (it could be an oldie) that you really liked?
4. What's a television show or movie you've seen recently (it could be an oldie) that you really liked?
We watched "The English Game" on Netflix, about the birth of soccer. It was well done and very interesting. Based on real people. It was done by the Downton Abbey writers.
5. Share something funny you've seen or heard this week.
5. Share something funny you've seen or heard this week.
There are hundreds of funny memes on Facebook that make me laugh. You've seen them all, I'm sure. This one was new to me today...
6. Insert your own random thought here.
It's not random. I am just so happy to be Hodgepodging on Wednesday again!! Thank you, Joyce!!
Thanks for your visit today! I did post a Whimisacle Wednesday today, also!!
Peace & hugs! Relax, God is in control!!

When the roll is called up yonder... I love that song and I shouldn't laugh at this, but thanks that was funny! 😂
ReplyDelete"I have run out of steam"--I'm not far behind ya, LOLOL.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day friend, smiles.
I hadn't seen that meme (stealing it now). It's a good one! Yeah, I'm on low steam. I like to cook, but hate thinking up what to cook. Have a good day, Terri, and stay safe and healthy!
ReplyDeleteTerri, I saw that people are trying to return all the toilet paper they purchased to Costco but Costco says it is yours now. No returns. Yes, trying to live sensibly and carry on safely.
ReplyDeleteThat toilet paper meme is hysterical, Terri! I'm going to try to copy/save it and get it up on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, and stay safe!
Yay for 1 successful knee surgery! And a second one coming up soon...unless coronavirus makes for a delay.
ReplyDeleteWe are about where you and Joe are, between 3 and 4. I AM still hugging my kids, even though one of them is still working.
Blessings to you,
Patti
That 'toon Terri' in #3 is adorable! How do you DO that?
ReplyDeleteExcept for the occasional take-out, Tom and I rarely eat the same thing -- even at the same time. He's a late-night diner, while I'm ravenous come 11AM.
The "toon" is just bitmoji. You go to bitmoji.com and make your own avatar. Then they give you so many options... like really steamed. Have fun!
DeleteGlad you're playing it safe Terri. It's all very scary. We definitely need to find some humour at the moment.
ReplyDelete"Toilet paper rapture" -- I laughed out loud! Very good!
ReplyDeleteLaughing out load here about the roll called up yonder. That's one I hadn't seen yet. I just started watching The English Game and am enjoying it as I'm a huge soccer fan. Glad your knee replacement was successful. Stay safe and keep the Faith!
ReplyDeleteYes, I liked the roll is called up yonder meme. Grilled steaks sound so wonderful. I've been enjoying meatloaf the past few days. Next time I will freeze one and eat the other. Good to be back here today.
ReplyDeleteHam and scalloped potatoes sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see this back.
ReplyDeleteI am with you - I am about a 3.5.
I too am ordering out - trying to help the businesses too!
loved the funny meme, I have seen so many jokes about toilet paper and loved them all.
ReplyDeletehappy you are doing well with your knee surgery.
Ham and scalloped potatoes sounds yummy to me as does the steaks.
Thank you for sharing.
Sue
I have not seen that meme yet. LOL
ReplyDeleteNice to visit you! Take care!
Yep - no hugs for awhile... that's hard for me as a big hugger. But I've also not been out of my house for a week - my dogs are a good replacement for good hugs.
ReplyDeleteHello Terri! It's been a while since I've been here. I guess you could say I "retired" from blogging. I'm happy to hear that you've had successful knee replacement surgery. I remember you had a lot of problems before. I hope you and Joe stay safe and well! Until next time...(Kathy from Reflections)
